"The air we breathe contains just the right amount of oxygen and nitrogen mixture. The carbon dioxide we emit is absorbed by trees that in turn produce more oxygen/nitrogen for us to breathe."
First.. Post Cretaceous O2 levels have been as high as 33% and as low as 17% .. there is no "right" amount... B: there is a tiny amount of CO2 but most of what we exhale is Oxygen.. that's what makes mouth to mouth respiration works.. Duh.. and 3rd.. Plants do not produce free Nitrogen.. .. ..
The earth is approximately 75% water, the largest amount is undrinkable is it's current state; yet every drop of water that has ever been on earth since the beginning of time, is still here.
Water arrives and departs from Earth daily.. just recently research has shown that water on the Moon accumulated from the Solar Wind delivering Hydrogen to hydroxyl molecules..
Earth's total water is a very dynamic system.
