Ouch.

 A "combined" 21 games for all Argentina staff and players could be as little as one game or even one half each.

Ouch.

The World Cup is over. What games can the organization ban players?

Good question - if you find out let us know. Looks like none, other than those within the FIFA sanctioned programs, but I know less than nothing.

Quite frankly I am interested in doing a lot research on the issue. I am just amazed at how arrogant the FIFA is.

I ran across an article in the AJC that gave some explanation. If a team or league are FIFA affiliated it would affect any games involved with those entities.

So it would only apply if they're playing on their national team, not on their pro clubs that pay them gazillions?

Yes. So, they could "serve" their punishment on days they wanted off, anyhow. The cost will be minimal compared to their club wages.

I should say - For most the cost will be minimal compared to their club wages. Some lower level players, coaches and staff may feel a pinch.

I do, too, but not over this. I don't see why a club team should suffer for what the national team did. Should Bo Jackson have missed an NFL game because of an MLB brawl?

It seems to me to be one of those "gotcha" situations. The club would not penalized as I see it unless they play a banned player. Then, as affiliated with FIFA, the club could be penalized.
