Chris Bey is one of pro wrestling’s brightest young stars. But last October, the 29-year-old grappler suffered a terrible neck injury during a show that left him paralyzed. His wrestling future is uncertain.
Last night, an independent wrestling promotion called Future Stars of Wrestling held a wrestling show where all proceeds would go to help with Bey’s recovery. FSW is where Bey got his start as a wrestler.
It was quite a show. Wrestlers from every major wrestling promotion took part. They came from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the IK, Japan, etc.
The best part is when Bey himself showed up. Everyone was in tears as he gingerly walked to the ring. Good stuff!

Tanea Brooks (known to the pro wrestling world as "Rebel") was a featured wrestler/valet in AEW almost from the company's start in 2019. She was primarily the sidekick to former world champion Britt Baker (who kept calling her "Reba"), but I loved seeing her on my TV every week.
Then, about two years ago, Rebel disappeared. There were rumors that she was fighting an injury or illness, but she was never mentioned again.
Earlier this year, Rebel released a video announcing that she had just been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease, also known as ALS. She said her condition is terminal, and she doesn't know how much time she has left.
She began crying, and I cried, too. It was so jarring to see her in a weakened state, with really slurred speech.
Rebel has dedicated her remaining days to raise funds for ALS research as well as public awareness sbout the disease. She says it's too late for her, but hopefully in the future a cure can be found.
Her friends throughout the wrestling world have been taking the "Ice Bucket Challenge" to help her fight ALS.
This Wednesday, AEW will dedicate their weekly "Dynamite" show to Rebel. Rebel herself is scheduled to appear. It's going to be extremely emotional.
