Human dependence: AI systems could become embedded in infrastructure—finance, communications, energy, transportation, military systems, etc. A major failure or coordinated misuse could cascade across society.

]Unintended optimization:[/b] The classic concern is not that an AI "hates" humans, but that it optimizes some objective that conflicts with human survival. A system doesn't need human-like emotions or intentions for this to happen


I think you've got it. Makes lots more sense than AI just getting an eveeel streak and killing off humans willy-nilly.
