She called it a fiscally prudent move that would return economic dividends to the state, and stressed that Arizona would back out if Washington reneged on funding.

You should see what the Tea-ouchebag legislature has done in Florida. They passed a bill barring the state insurance commissioner from doing his constitutional duty for two years. He can't regulate healthcare insurance rates. The companies get to raise rates however much they want, without any interference from the state, and they're encouraged to use "Obamacare" as an excuse for the higher rates.
Never mind that the states who have opened the process have not seen any of the rate hikes the right babbled about. In Florida, they're green-lighting the process and encouraging the companies to raise rates.

The 2.7 Trillion Medical Bill
One could also question why a programmer in the US makes $90K per year, and in India makes $2K per year.

American healthcare companies are investment companies. They do indeed get the best results for their customers, the investors.

On-site programmers are worth more. The surplus of programmers in India wouldn't help salaries there, either.Vrede wrote:Developed vs. developing world would be a major reason. More interesting to me is that most of the article compares the US unfavorably to other developed countries, all of which have a single payer system, some socialized most not. Are you starting to come around to the single payer side of the debate, doc?Wneglia wrote:The 2.7 Trillion Medical Bill

Are you an AMA member? If so, you are a union member.
People are crazy and times are strange. I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range.

(sigh). C'mon Doc - surely you see what is missing in this article? Of course the union is complaining, and it has little to do with "Obamacare." The members are in a good health plan now, that they don't want changed and there is no reason to change it except to intentionally create dissatisfaction. The exchanges are intended for those who don't have a health plan through their employer or an association. Camp is simply trying to take away an existing benefit.

Obamacare Suit Suffers a Setback
Joe Holland, owner of Joe Mr. Holland Chevrolet in Charleston last month attracted national publicity for challenging new federal laws requiring his company to provide insurance coverage for contraceptives taken after sex.
But his legal team recently discovered a problem: Mr. Holland's insurer has already been covering the drugs as a part of the health benefits he offers to his car dealership's employees....

or just a typical republicon
they operate solely on hate
they can get enough spending (even when it destroys the economy) during republicon presidential administrations, but they scream and cry about spending and the economy under dems even when the mess the cons created is improved by the dems
they hate the new health care, but it was their idea
they piss all over themselves about the nsa, but again, it was their idea
they cry doom if socialism is mentioned in any way, but they have set up a system where business is supported and bailed out by the taxpayer and then, demand deregulation
just like this idiot wets himself over health care attack on his moral fiber, but it turns out he’s been financing these evil baby killers all by his don’t tread on me self
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
