Regarding IP addresses: I work from home using a program called Logmein.com. No matter where I am in the country, I log in to my work computer that has it's own IP address located at the location of my office building. So, if I'm in another state and post on the forum from my work computer being controlled remotely, it means I could look like I'm in one state when, in actuality, I'm across the country.

Logmein is a service to (among other things) allow you access to your work computer from anywhere in the country. Your work computer is sitting in its office, using the same ISP connection it always does, registering the same IP address.
Someone claims he took his laptop over 2,000 miles, without getting a new ISP, simply turned it on and magically began posting from his old IP address, which is not exactly how reality works ... especially since AT&T (BellSouth) doesn't provide internet service in his new location.
I understand that Sting. I'm just sayin: if you run my IP address, you get my company's IP, not mine, if I am logging in from my logmein.com/work account.
