It's the NYT that exposed the sleaze, as confirmed by Mary Peltola's former campaign manager. Her campaign reached out to multiple Daniel Sullivans to run. Didn't anyone think that this will sink the campaign if it comes out? It'll be a shame if the Senate majority hinges on this.

Not unexpected Vrede plays the race card. Nothing racial about opposing El-Sayed. His beliefs are enough.

Throughout my life something I've found most admirable about our country was our belief in the sanctity of our elections. It was unthinkable even ten years ago to call them into question. Results were respected by politicians and the peaceful transfer of power continued on unabated. I don't recall the mid term elections ever getting so much doubt thrown upon them before they've even occurred like the present day.

In comes Donald Trump casting doubt on any election resulting in a loss for himself with no evidence whatsoever. Who would've thought 10-15 years ago the president of the United States would be the one working overtime to undermine the democractic process in America. Never in my life would I have thought we'd have a bunch of nihilists running the country.

We're so used to it at this point that it's no longer an enormous, political career ending, scandal that the president is calling into question the democratic process. That in itself is pretty telling of how far we've fallen as a country.
