http://www.examiner.com/article/rowdy-g ... k-memorialConcord, NH - Rowdy gun owners did their utmost to disrupt a memorial for the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre victims held on the sidewalk before the State Capitol late Tuesday afternoon. The memorial was part of the Mayors Against Illegal Guns bus tour and included local volunteers reading off the names of the over 6,000 people killed by gun violence since the Sandy Hook tragedy...
...The theme of the bus tour is "No More Names." No more deaths from gun violence that could be prevented by federal gun controls, including expanded background checks.
Before the rally proper, volunteers standing before the MAIG bus painted with the names of victims of gun violence, read off more of those names. A digital clock counted off the cumulative number of those slain since Sandyhook; the number stood at 6,139 at 5 PM, the start time of the MAIG rally proper, that featured local citizens speaking out for the need for gun controls.
"Go Back to New York!"
Likely inflamed by the presence of what they considered emissaries of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns and a major proponent of stricter gun controls, the guns rights activists acted extremely disrespectful. Egged on by vocal provocateurs, they attempted to drown out the New Hampshire citizens speaking in front of the "No More Names" bus with shouts, catcalls, and slogans chanted en masse.
"Go back to New York!" was one of their more popular mantras, shouted again and again despite the fact that each speaker who was introduced was a denizen of the Granite State.
One heckler yelled "Troublemakers! Go back to where you came from!" as the second speaker, the Rev. Stephen R. Silver of the First Congregational Church in Lebanon, NH, paused after reading a litany of names of the murdered.
The guns rights activists were so rowdy, they refused to calm down when Rev. Silver offered an invocation asking for divine guidance to stem gun violence. If anything, Rev. Silver's reference to Christ seemed to incense them further.
Some gun rights activists had been grumbling that Bloomberg was exploiting the Sandyhook massacre, a theme taken up by other firearms enthusiasts. This led to the bizarre spectacle of the activists yelling, "Shame on you!" as Silver talked of Jesus Christ.
By the time Daniel Musso, a 52-year-old resident of Brentwood, NH, began interrupting one of the speakers, domestic violence activist John Cantin, the level of hostility at the memorial was palpable. A riot sparked by the more aggressive gun owners seemed possible.
Because of Musso's interference with Cantin and the possibility of violence, hired security guards went into action. Musso eventually stopped harassing Cantin, who was shot and his daughter slain by her husband, after security moved in. He subsequently became the target of Concord police officers.

A gun control group that sought to raise awareness to their cause at a New Hampshire rally by reading off the names of 4,500 people killed by firearms since the Connecticut school shootings drew jeers when they included the name of Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, according to a report.
Supporters of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns movement held the rally on Tuesday, in Concord. And while it is true that Tsarnaev was shot by police -- and then run over by his fleeing brother -- during a gun battle four days after carrying out the deadly terror attack, several in attendance questioned including him as a "victim" of gun violence, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
“He's a terrorist,” several gun rights protesters in attendance shouted, according to the paper.
Police tasered and arrested one of the gun rights supporters after he allegedly placed his hand on an officer’s shoulder after being asked to move. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault.

Re: How Gun Nuts Act in Public
The "examiner" piece that started the thread left out the part where Tamerlan Tsarnaev was among the names read by the anti-gun activists and the "jeering" that followed. Instead, the Examiner author concluded that the gun rights protesters were "likely inflamed by the presence of what they considered emissaries of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg".
I submit that the combined pieces give most of the whole story.
The Fox piece did cover the one arrest without falsely implying that "a riot sparked by the more aggressive gun owners seemed possible" as did the Examiner piece.
