America's one of the only industrialized nations that doesn't mandate paid sick leave. These guys want to keep it that way.

Seriously it does suck. I've known people that have to check themselves out of the hospital against medical advice because their employers were going to fire them. When you do that most of the time any insurance you have won't cover your stay to top it off.

It sucks for the employer too, most of the time they are just too greedy to realize it. People come in sick, get other people sick, there goes productivity. The worst thing is most Fast Food joints don't provide sick leave...... and they are handling.... FOOD.

Just wow. Land of the free, home of the slaves.
