I would be surprised if there are any links addressing the equation of US abortions to the death of anyone else anywhere; it's that critical thinking thing. See, if all the resources that it takes to raise a child in America, including money, services, education, everything.....if that amount of resources were directed in other directions, any number of better things could happen, one of them being less infant mortality in third world countries. That wise man should have told you to forget about all of those people supposedly smarter than you and start thinking for yourself. You missed the obvious contradiction to the "critical thinking thing", but that's OK. If you want to accept the propaganda, the popular screed, the government's versions of history and the "truth", go ahead. I choose not to unless I find truth there.

If you think Vrede has a point, try at least to support it with facts and figures. A wise man once told me, "trust, but verify". There he goes again (even though it's actually a Russian proverb)

That said, this is strike three and farewell. I have three times tilted at the windmill, perceiving a noble chivalrous fight. Don't get discouraged. Start out by taking classes that are perhaps too difficult for you; try to get one of the smarter folks in the class to explain things to you in terms you can understand. Once you have that down pretty well, you can start reading scholarly journals and attending lecutures on various issues to get a sense of what is really happening and how it all relates to you personally. Good luck.
