Fascinating......I myself have always been grateful that our faces aren't on the top of our heads; we'd have to drive lying down, plus it would be hard to eat or watch tv.

The eating, and day to day life though would pretty much suck.

I suppose it's fortunate that evolution doesn't occur at good speed instead of v e r y s l o w l y. Come to think of it, though, that face on top of your head would probably be an advantage to winos and others with a tendency to become unconscious at unpredictable times.....at least they wouldn't die on their own puke. But this then raises the evolutionary question as to whether winos and frequent unpredictable unconsciousness is evidence of good natural selection......I predict the next evolutionary advance will be the elimination of the need for sleep.

I think American employers are doing a good job at trying to force that selection.

Those are significant problems, to be sure. The only thing for the winos who pass out sitting up is chairs without arms, and even this is not a fail safe option. I figure by the time peoples faces are on top of their heads, birds will be big enough that they'll be able to touch two wires at once, in which case the populations would decline dramatically; probably a good thing. We should all collaborate to create a course in theoretical evolution to be taught at community colleges in the area as a public service. We would have chairs without arms for evolutionary advanced winos as well.
