After watching that video, I believe you should have said:bannination wrote:"I can see why there are no good cops."
"I now can see why there are so many bad cops". The young man in the video firmly believed in "To Protect and Serve";
not in "protect my job by serving" (tickets).
Hooray for him, I hope his lawyer busts their butts.

As I commented about LT Wilkes trying to get Chief Anderson fired....if you're going after the brass, you'd better be sure you have enough to get them fired, or be prepared to get another job if you're non-union, or career-killing work if you're union. Quotas for arrests may be despicable, but they're not unique to Auburn, and probably not even illegal. Probably not even considered a bad thing by the Auburn city management. Maybe not even to most of the general population, unless they're one that gets caught. Defense will admit to what the sergeant said, and say it wasn't a quota, it was just performance standards. They'll show that nobody actually got fired for being under 100, and they'll say their statistics show that there are probably X number of offenses a month in a college town...way enough for each cop who is out there earning his taxpayer money to collar 100....yada. Dude tossed away his career for nothing. He should have just looked for work in another town. It's not like cop jobs are hard to find.

Apparently the way the chief put it is legal in Alabama.
