Department head is making 91,000 a year. Care to look up what the Henderson County super is making....better yet why don't you look up all the salaries and give us total coming out of the building on 4th...and while you are at it...take a flying kiss at my ass. It is no wonder I can count the active members of this forum on one hand...with a rude son of a bitch like you around no one will ever want to post here.

So how many school districts are there in the USA? Do some of them do better than others? Which ones are the best? Why is that? Do what they do. How hard is it to be a superintendent? It's not the same as running a corporation, or even a major government department or agency. It doesn't matter how many people the job theoretically "manages." S/he doesn't have to worry about product placement, marketing, sales strategy, etc. I'm pretty sure I know several people personally who could do the job of a school superintendent part time in addition to their day job.

Yeah, the issue of whether an individual job or incumbent is overpaid is different from the issue of finding more effective ways to use funding. But I think that nationally the school superintendents have created a smoke and mirrors mystique about themselves. Y

So what? What kind of crap job do you have that you think that's excessive?Roland Deschain wrote:Department head is making 91,000 a year.

He's referring to his own dept head? How is that even relevant then? A dept head and school superintendent aren't remotely at the same level.
