Speaking of pedo's.....
31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
31:18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

I said nor quoted anything from the OT.....comprehend much?bannination wrote: "Oh I get it, so the old testament does still apply. Would you make up your mind????"
The only way you know to express yourself is copying & pasting filthy cartoons?
Oh yeah, your cartoon is soooo funny....it has your mentality level written all over it.
I'm willing to bet that the last little green smiley over on the right side is flashing your I.Q......right?
For your info, the daughters were offered to the sodomites because he knew they were queer for men; they were safe.

No, I guess I don't comprehend. Jesus didn't say anything about gay people.Mr.B wrote:I said nor quoted anything from the OT.....comprehend much?bannination wrote: "Oh I get it, so the old testament does still apply. Would you make up your mind????"

Cartoon funny? I disagree I think it's pretty sick, but it is your bible and your god. That's not even the worse parts of it, don't forget there's some father daughter sex right after that part.

What part of "I and my Father are One" did you not understand?
"That's not even the worse parts of it, don't forget there's some father daughter sex right after that part."
And what did Jesus say about that? Because He said nothing, does that mean it's OK today?

Good point, it's never really condemned. Neither was offering the virgin daughters to the mob. So if that's not ok, then where are you getting your morals? It certainly isn't from the bible.Mr.B wrote:bannination wrote:"No, I guess I don't comprehend. Jesus didn't say anything about gay people."

"How do you explain a sunset if their(sic) is no God?"
Better yet, how do you explain one planet that has all the right ingredients to support life; i.e., atmospheres to protect us from the sun's radiation, the right mixture of oxygen and nitrogen to sustain our breath of life, a palatable abundance of water to sustain us, (you can go quite some time without food, but the body needs water in at least 3 days).....these are just "the tip of the iceberg"...huh? Huh? Huh?.....

It would take much to long and way too many books to get you up to speed so you could understand how that process happened.Mr.B wrote:"How do you explain a sunset if their(sic) is no God?"

It's not hard to find examples of things that only exist in a certain area. Look no further than Oconee Bells. Or the Brevard white squirrels. Or, looking futher, see the different types of life you find in different parts of the oceans. No doubt the conditions on Earth are conducive to the types of life found here, but our solar system is pretty small in the overall scheme of things. Probably relatively smaller than the area where Oconee Bells grow is in relation to the Earth.

"GODDIDIT" ^tm does not explain anything, that excuse has been used for all natural events before we understood how it was actually happening. So I'm prepared for a lengthy scientific explanation of how it happened.
Now if *that* was actually in the bible you'd have something, but you got nothing beyond the educational level of those that lived 2000 years ago.

In passing on historical information, some facts do get changed a bit; I'm aware of that; however many of the authors were educated writers basing their writings on what was seen or passed on to them.Bannination wrote:".....but you got nothing beyond the educational level of those that lived 2000 years ago".
You and I both have heard about or witnessed many events in our lives, but we didn't keep a record of them because we felt they probably would be of little significance to anyone else, and like anyone telling about certain events, we probably would have a hard time recalling exactly how they occurred.
These writers were inspired, for some reason, to write what they knew or heard and keep record of it....wonder who inspired them?
Inasmuch as my information comes from one Book that has over 40 authors, (LINK) I'm satisfied with that...why would I need "way too many books"?
I guess that means I'm satisfied that "GODDIDIT"....

Something that's always shook me is the shear enormity of the size observable universe, and man's tiny place within it.Mr.B wrote:Inasmuch as my information comes from one Book that has over 40 authors, (LINK) I'm satisfied with that...why would I need "way too many books"?

All of human history is just a small blink
I have trouble reconciling this and biblical literalism. I don't think the bible is really a trustworthy source for some in regards to knowledge about the physical universe. That's fine, because we have science for that. I don't think science is the be all end all either. Religion and philosophy are still relevant even in this day of age in my opinion, even in light of our ever increasing understanding of the physical universe.
Not trying to knock your beliefs here Mr. B, just saying this is something I've thought about as I'm sure many have. I don't think the bible is completely irrelevant though even for an atheist. If I have kids I'm going to read them stories from the new testament and some from the old (minus the rated R stuff) to teach them morals and what not.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

Re: The Religion Thread
I dunno, who inspired the writer to make Harry Potter? A LOT of the stories in the bible were copied from texts that already existed, (that had nothing to do with Jesus), so there is part of your inspiration.Mr.B wrote:In passing on historical information, some facts do get changed a bit; I'm aware of that; however many of the authors were educated writers basing their writings on what was seen or passed on to them.Bannination wrote:".....but you got nothing beyond the educational level of those that lived 2000 years ago".

Maybe these prophecies, that weren't previously copied, have something to do with Jesus....?:

Re: The Religion Thread
Every time I watch the "Ancient Aliens" show on History Channel, I become more and more convinced that aliens came here and bred with some sort of existing primates and we're the result. They have a lot of logical "evidence" for this in the fact that ancient carvings from all over the world depict images of what appear to be spacecraft and space men, and all of these are very similar in design. And there's the massive and precision cut stonework also found around the world; stonework that would be difficult to reproduce today, or move around and stack up. To me, it's pretty compelling proof that at some point in the past, some sort of advanced civilization came here.....hard to say if they had their way with what were our ancestors. Boo!

Re: The Religion Thread
Mr. B can't logically think about this topic at all.
He knows he's just a bigot that has too much time on his hands to be concerned with other peoples private matters. Just ask him what Jesus said about the ghey and lessy sex and watch him squirm.
