Absolutely; that condensed version can absorb perceived, actual, and even contemplated sin just by the prospective sinner coming within 3 feet of this powerful talisman. I think it's done by some form of modified osmosis, and I've heard it will still function correctly two weeks after the expiration date. Incredible.Vrede wrote:Penguins are cool, though I guess they "fly" in the water. Do sinful ultra-orthodox Jewish Antarctic researchers use them instead of chickens?
If there are no live birds around is this acceptable to wave over the sinner's head?
Could it just be suspended from the ceiling to absorb sins in real time, and is the shelf life the same for sin absorption as it is for the broth?

The 'first death' is physical death, the soul departing from the body....O Really wrote:"But death is not final to the religious, right?"
The Final Judgment
11..And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;
and there was found no place for them.
12..And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13..And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:
and they were judged every man according to their works.
14..And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15..And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:11-15

Shhh don't point out conflicting message in the bible, I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for.....Vrede wrote:What does "their works" mean? I thought that with faith all else was forgiven.

But hey, if it's by works, I think I'm good to go. Don't even have to believe in that crap and I still get in. :gayhappy:
I'm sure Mr. B's explanation now will be by works and by faith even though it says no such thing.

I'd say my time as a grunt with La Raza would be self-canceling. However, if you're in this firm http://www.godwinlewis.com/Donald-Godwin it may very well be additive sin.Vrede wrote:Is being a Texas lawyer additive sin or self-canceling?

I don't usually call people hypocrites, nor do I usually pay much attention to what some call hypocritical behaviour. But I do think the term is often misused. A hypocrite pretends to be something s/he isn't, while advocating what s/he pretends to be. A person who claims to be a non-smoker and chastises people who smoke and then goes to smoke behind the building is a hypocrite. A person who smokes, yet still tells people smoking is a dirty dangerous habit is not a hypocrite because s/he's not pretending to be what s/he's not.

Uhhh...the Bible doesn't mention the actual word "gay" or "homosexual" nor does it mention pedophiles either, so what's your point?
You're constantly calling me a liar; when in fact you're just as big a liar. (but, I will admit you're the better liar.)

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The California government will pay $1.95 million to a Christian and former parolee who went back to prison after refusing to participate in a Muslim based inpatient treatment program that the state was requiring as part of the terms of his parole.
Maybe almost two million is too much. What would be a fair price for blatant and intentional violation of rights?
