What is my "interpretation of it"?
You're joking, right? As I recall, you posted an article someone wrote about a lesbian couple in Ohio that mistakenly ended up with a mixed race child instead of a white one. You seized on the sexual orientation of the couple when the real issue was about how the couple were attempting to provide a better environment for the kid; an environment more accepting of racial diversity....not more accepting of sexual orientation. I tried to go back and find your original post about it but it seems to be gone.......

How convenient for you! If you are not going to quote MY "interpretation of it", then you are just about as fuktup as Vrede is...

Damn! The reply above states what your interpretation of it was. There's several pages of you arguing about it. I don't have the patience or inclination to go and snatch snippets from all the back and forth you engaged in about it. Here you go again; you interpreted the story to be mainly about the sexual orientation of the subjects of the story and that wasn't the core issue. Does that help?

So, your interpretation of MY "interpretation of it" with no quotes is supposed to help in what way?
ButtHurt Vrede has cravenly crowed: "No one needs to quote it anymore, idiot child... (and other and sundry aberrations, ramifications, fixations, lamentations, hallucinations, and incantations)"
Repeating the same thing over, and over again and expecting a different result each time is an indication of...

No, not in your case. Evidently you've erased from your brain what you said about the matter. I twice summarized what the exact controversy was and you still retort with some psychobabble. By the way, saying I'm about as fucked up as Vrede is quite a compliment......coming from you. Cheers!

If I were Indago, and I am forever grateful I'm not, I would simply state clearly what I believe about the incident today. If it's the same as before, I'd expect to take flak over it, but so what. If it's different, so what. In any case, everybody gets today's version to deal with. I don't find arguing over the past to be very fruitful for anyone.

Absolutely. I will henceforth consider the article that was linked about the women and child in Ohio to be Top Secret and refuse to discuss it or even admit that it exists.
... the racists and misogynists that the world is passing by. I'm not so stupid I can't see the handwriting on the wall; then again, I do see Biblical prophecy being realized....slowly, but surely.
So basically, just to reiterate, you can't provide any examples of biblical prophecy being realized?
Vrede wrote:I'm not sure about prophecy but wouldn't our increasing tolerance, nonjudgmentalism and equality on a range of issues be biblical mandates, especially Jesus', being realized?
Can't count those, definitely not prophecy, things are supposed to get worse not better. As for the rest, that tends to be exactly the verses in the bible that fundamentalists like Mr. B ignore.
It's pretty funny... I mean if anything on average we're heading in the opposite direction of getting worse. So much for fortune tellers. Someone call (pray) to Sylvia Brown, maybe she's got more accurate prophecy now.
Just to be clear though, I'd fully expect Mr. B to come up with at least one example. With a book that large you'll find something that matches a recent event. I could do the same with Harry Potter. This will definitely make him dig though.

If so, then either God sucks, the people bastardizing Her/Him suck, or the people that invented Her/Him suck. What's the point of religion if it leads to things getting worse and Mr.B being so smug about it?
Well, no one ever said it was supposed to make sense.

That's the whole point of it; things are supposed to get bad and then worse and then more worse (so worse there's just no term for it) up until the point that salvation occurs. War, famine, pestilence, disease.....we've already got religious war, we've had famine, there's the current Ebola outbreak, the threat of more war via China, North Korea, Iran. The plot is thickening. This is why I patronize those roadside fortune tellers; they won't bullshit you.
It's pretty easy to match current events with prior prophesies, particularly if the prophesies are fairly generic, as most are. Wars, pestilence, floods, yada... they're going to happen. Students of Nostradamus, for example, have found prophesies in his writings of things like the Kennedy assassinations, and Hitler's rise. Of course, "kings will be killed" and "evil tyrants will conquer" do take a little extrapolation to apply to specific events. Much the same as Biblical prophesies - or promises, whatever.

China is a rival, but not an enemy the way the Soviet Union was.
Heck, even Iran is on the same side of a war as the US, also launching air strikes against ISIS in Iraq.
It wouldn't surprise me if China decided to take back Taiwan, in which case the US would be drawn in. And it wouldn't surprise me if Israel went bonkers and went after Iran, in which case the US would be drawn in.

China's leaders won't do anything that destabilizes their power. Taiwan isn't doing that. But an invasion of Taiwan - even without US involvement - would.
Taiwan would give them nothing by unrest and an insurgency. The sort of thing - thanks to the Internet, even with the Great Firewall - that could spread.
neoplacebo wrote:And it wouldn't surprise me if Israel went bonkers and went after Iran, in which case the US would be drawn in.
People have been claiming that that would happen Any Moment Now for well over a decade. It hasn't happened. Where Iran keeps getting caught sending entire ship-loads of munitions to Hamas and friends, I'd bet that Israel is set up to massively destabilize Iran - behind the scenes - any time it wants.
Well, since none of you wankers here can read, I'll point it out for you:
The Affiant is GAY. Her family disapproves of her lesbianism. She is suing to, among other things, obtain enough money to move to a more accepting environment for her and her daughter. There is no amount of babblonious blustering on your part that will change these facts. In other words: You are pissing into the wind.
"We are asking they change policy so it never happens again," Misny said. The lawsuit also seeks "compensation to receive the kind of counseling they will need going forward, and also to relocate to an area that is more demographically in tune with their family," he said. "At times she (Cramblett) feels that she is underwater. She loves her child to death. But what she needs is assistance in handling it properly," Misny said.
