2016 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

CIA operative Orlando Bosch was responsible for bombings from South America to Florida, Washington DC and here in Canada. His "greatest hit" was bombing an airliner out of the sky, killing 73 people.

The good news about electing Jeb Bush - who arranged Bosch's pardon and residency in the US with his dad - is that the War on Terror could be officially declared over.

Granted, terror would be the victor. And it would be awkward for the CIA to switch back from torturing terror suspects to hiring them again. Perhaps they can rectally feed them chocolate and brandy first.

Yeah, the name is the least of Jeb's baggage.

My favorite quote about People Magazine was from "Big Chill" when the Goldblum character who wrote for People in the film described the first editorial rule as "no article can be longer than it takes the average person to read during the average shit." (Maybe not exact, but close.)

Accurate:
How about you, Michael?
Tell us about big-time journalism.
Where I work we have
only one editorial rule:
No writing longer than an average person
can read during an average crap.
I'm tired of having
my work read in the can.
People read Dostoyevsky in the can.
But they can't finish it.

But the brain dead are potential GOP voters!

Back in 1999 America was glad it was W running for President, and not Jeb, because W was the smart one.

But being conservative, Republicans will go with what's worked in the past. The GOP hasn't won a Presidential election without a Bush or Nixon on the ticket since Roosevelt in the 1940s. (Eisenhower's VP was Nixon. Reagan's VP was Bush I.)

Nixon has a grandson with an undergraduate degree in politics, a law degree, worked in John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, and ran for Congress in 2010. Endorsed by Jeb Bush.

But he needs a few months in Congress or as a governor before being seen as qualified. So until 2020, they're stuck with Jeb.

The difference between Jeb Bush and Raphael "Ted" Cruz is that Cruz wants Republican voters to forget his first name, while Jeb wants everyone else to forget his last.

You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

You guys can all vote for me instead. Whenever I give the state of the union address I'll rap it in the house of representin' instead of speaking it, even though I can't rap.

If I were elected, they would not like what I had to say to them; all their faces would crack.....it would be like John C. Calhoun whacking everybody with his cane right there on the floor.
