Bill O'Reilly Says Hillary Clinton Will Be President If Republicans Don't 'Put Forth Smart Solutions' (VIDEO)
07/11/2013
Bill O'Reilly went on a tirade in support of immigration reform Thursday night, and said that if the GOP doesn't step up its performance, Hillary Clinton will be the next U.S. president.
With the words "Immigration Battle" projected in the background, "The O'Reilly Factor" host read an email from a woman named Nettie suggesting Congress should not move forward or make any concessions given the current administration.
"When Hillary Clinton is elected president in 2016, will you say the same thing, Nettie? Because that's what's gonna happen if the GOP does not begin to put forth smart solutions to the country's problems," O'Reilly said.
O'Reilly then critiqued an email from a viewer named Jim suggesting that new immigration laws wouldn't be needed if the current ones were enforced.
"So that means federal agents will begin forcibly rounding up millions of illegal people, entering their homes and removing men, women, and children, taking them to holding pens, where they will be awaiting deportation. Is that your vision, Jim? Because that's what enforcing existing laws would mean," he said.
The Senate already passed a bipartisan immigration bill, leaving reform up to House Republicans.
O'Reilly has previously declared his support for the Senate immigration bill, stating in June, "For years I’ve called for a more secure southern border, you know that. And now it looks like the secure border is in reach. At least somewhat. So I hope this bill does become law."

To be fair, from what I've gathered when put into context, O`Reilly's blunder is not even close to the scale that Williams is.Vrede wrote:Bill O'Reilly Has His Own Brian Williams Problem
The Fox News host has said he was in a "war zone" that apparently no American correspondent reached.
Unlike Brian Williams who took responsibility, eventually, Bill O'Reilly is denying he lied. Will Faux Noise suspend him for 6 months? I won't hold my breath.
Tide goes in, tide goes out, can't explain that!

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
I think both Williams and O'Reilly are pompous pseudo intellectual dubmasses. I've never been in a war zone or been shot at, but if I had, I don't think I would be confused about it. I'm a "Vietnam Era veteran" but I never set foot in VIetnam and I sure as hell don't have any fuzzy memory of humping it through the jungle or jumping out of a helicopter into some peasant's rice farm to shoot him and his wife and kids. More than a few combat veterans end up taking their own life; I doubt Williams or O'Reilly will be among them.

While in the military, one of my friends said he hated it when people thanked him for his service because 1) He only joined for selfish reasons like college money, and could actually be a huge POS in real life but they wouldn't know, 2) pretty much sat at a desk all day somewhere in VA. I think he said he was considered a veteran because of the war on terror or something, not too sure.neoplacebo wrote:I think both Williams and O'Reilly are pompous pseudo intellectual dubmasses. You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
True true.... I think I was giving him a bit of leeway since he's a pundit and not a reporter, but he *was* a reporter at the time of the goof. Meh, either way, they're both idiots.Vrede wrote:How so?bannination wrote:To be fair, from what I've gathered when put into context, O`Reilly's blunder is not even close to the scale that Williams is....
. . . Unless you mean that Bill O'Reilly lies so routinely that a couple of "war zones" more is no big deal.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
From what I've read from numerous accounts of others in the "war zone" of the Falklands conflict, it's looking like O'Reilly is going to end up looking like more of a fool than he already was. He even thinks his current situation is a war zone. Dubmass.

There's an old quote....
Now the Republicans are both evil and stupid? This means that they can be bi-partisan despite what Democrats claim. The US has two main political parties - the Evil Party (Republicans), and the Stupid Party (Democrats). Occasionally they will band together and do something both evil and stupid. This is called bi-partisanship.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
In his younger days, as an intern at WPLG Channel 10 in Miami in the early 1970s, Bill O’Reilly could have been playing in the Super Bowl — instead of just interviewing the president on Super Bowl Sunday. He could out-punt Ray Guy.
At least, according to Bill O’Reilly, he could.
“Did you know I can kick a football more than 60 yards?” he told the back-up anchor at the television station, who warmed to the idea — somehow thinking it was uproariously funny.
“Hell, Bill, if you can do that, I can get you a try-out with the Miami Dolphins,” the assistant anchor (a friend of mine) replied. “I’m going to introduce you to Don Shula. Boy, is he going to be excited to see someone who can kick a football 60 yards.”
Coach Shula — who won Super Bowls in 1972 and 1973 with the Dolphins — had a weekly show at the station and used to drop by the news room. So there was no doubt that my friend could broker a meeting and possible try-out.
But then O’Reilly got cold feet — or a cold foot.
“The problem is I don’t have any hang time,” he revealed.
“Oh, don’t worry about that,” my friend (a star quarterback in high school) persisted. “If you can kick a football that far, they can find people who are fast enough to provide coverage.”
But O’Reilly — who acquired the nickname around the station of “Thunder Foot” — would not be persuaded.
And that is why Ray Guy (who averaged just 42.4 yards a punt) was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last week — instead of Bill O’Reilly.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
remember billo's claim that he won two Peabody awards
or that his college team went undefeated (his college didn't have a team)
and both the nfl and major league baseball wanted him

Re: Bill O'Reilly Lectures The Stupid Party
but as liars go, at least he lied about his exploits
and not about his bald spot
Gov Walker says that his bald spot is a scar resulting from bumping his head while working under the kitchen sink
tough to look at the guy now without laughing
