banni - your avatar is killing me

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Thanks, I try.

I confess that I have used sock in the past, but that was with the old Greenville Gannett site as Friendofred (fred Thompson) during the 2008 elections
Yes, I've heard of the "sock" puppet.

otherwise I have stayed with Vonnegut characters, my own political views and a general disdain for bb type fools
Don't forget to include yourself in that category of "bb type fools".
Vrede wrote:" ... it's Mr.B that thinks it's a big deal."
Yes, I made it a big deal because of the language and hateful crap that b.p has posted at me. It's along the same lines that Homerfobe (sic) posts towards you.

Mr.B, because the styles, dates of appearances, politics, IP addresses, and "language, etc." are all completely different, and because "verde" is such a common misspelling, silly.
Did you type 'Verde' in the search box? I did; billy boy and Homerfobe (sic) comes up as the ones who spells it Verde the most; however it has been spelled that way by Stinger and Reality as well; but that's a long time ago.

Personally, I don't really give a rip; I hope 'ol Homey keeps giving you the grief and name-calling; it's only right seeing as you two are like two peas in a pod; one just as vile as the other...well almost.

As I said, it's common in this forum and elsewhere. You've made a fool of yourself, again.
Whassa matter, you don't want to entertain the thought that your buddy might be one of your own? Obviously not; you're dismissing it simply as a mis-spelling.

Vrede wrote:"Peace" in Dutch, which is why I use it for a handle.
I looked the word up when I first joined the T/N forums.....My first thought was "You gotta be kiddin' me!"

Ironically, it means "anger" in Danish. I think things like this might go a long way towards explaining Europe's bloody history.
You left off the first two words of that definition...."bottled-up", as in pissed off at the world.

Translated, your response means "No, I don't want to entertain the thought that my buddy Homerfobe might be one of our own, because the one being accused of being Homerfobe is aligned with my mindset."

Had the accused been me, Wneglia, Supsalemgr, or anyone else who posts conservatively, you'd be going ape. (like that's anything new)

Vrede wrote:"It's way stupid to think that billy.pilgrim is "Homerfobe (sic)", or Stinger or Reality based on one often misspelled word."
Read it again, goofwad...I didn't say billy might be Stinger or Reality....

That is funny,; where did you get that "quote"?

I put the (sic) in there because every time I mention Homerfobe, Vrede gives me a (sic).

You said Ol' Homo is more intelligent than Vrede or billy. To me, the idea that Homo is intelligent at all is a laughing matter. No, not just laughing. Roll on the floor. Wheeze and choke. Can't breathe. If laughter is the best medicine, I won't need any other medicine for years.

homerfobe does not capitalize his handle, you've been misspelling it.
I disagree. I'd say Homo, the ignorant, uneducated troll is the one misspelling his own handle. It's not like he is e e cummings, although the name may appeal to him. :P

Sorry - I'll consider changing if we can get rstrong to change O Canada, get Oprah to change her magazine, get Cirque de Soleil to change their Vegas show. None of which have either an "h" nor a period - or apostrophe. How do you know it's not an initial and name, anyway?

I picked the name because it's something I tend to say when presented with questionable statements. "O (or Oh) Really? There are a lot of questionable statements in forums, and I started using the name on (I think) Topix. Seemed appropriate. Still does. The guy who'll question anything you say and ask for evidence, and not let you get by with unsupported mythology or general vagueness. Sorta like a Vrede-lite, with a better attitude. :P

I always thought your name was a pun on O Reilley of infamous Fox "News" but thanks for clearing it up. And depending on how outrageous something being said is, I may say "O(h), really?" or I may say "O(h), bullshit." I guess you made the best choice, though.

When said with the right inflection, and a properly raised eyebrow, "O really?" is the same as "Oh, bullshit." ;)
