Singer Randy Howard Killed in Gunfight With Bounty Hunter

Howard was a member of country music’s “Outlaw” movement, which rejected Nashville’s polished music in favor of a rougher sound. Howard shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr.

You know what, they ought to re record that pink Floyd song "time" without the alarm bells at the very beginning. Drag the whole band, dig them up from the grave if need be, sit them down, and rerecord time without all the alarm bells at the very beginning.

The cacophonous bells are integral to the song!
How many mornings are we jarred awake by our alarm clocks. We groan, and might even, like Charlie Brown, sigh, "Time to cringe from another day." Each time that alarm sounds, we are one day closer to death.

Back in my twenties, this album was gettin' high music. Now that I've passed 60, ten years have got behind me and every year is getting shorter ... well, I bow to young lads who put that feeling into song when they were young and life was long.

I like to listen to this album when I'm laying in bed with the lights out, so right when time comes on I'm usually in the zone and the bells pull me out of it sometimes.

When I fly overseas, this is my drifting off music. It's a ritual- wine, dinner ( such as it is), more wine. The cabin lights dim, and off I go. Dark Side of the Moon will always be one of my favorite headphone albums. Stoned or not.
