The Music Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

So what do you have in your garage to play that music in a way to do it justice? Or are we just earbudding/Beats it?

I've got one of those bose bluetooth speakers. I used to have a cheap one but it broke. I can't go without a portable bluetooth speaker now, so instead of getting a cheap one again I bought a bose. The sound is pretty decent. Cost about 125 bucks so it's not tooexpensive all things considered.

Kewl. I might have to get one of those for the deck.
But Pink Floyd needs multiple speakers, surround, and lots of volume. Helps to have laser lights, too. Not to mention a little weed.

I've heard that watching "The Wall" movie on mushrooms is pretty intense.

Yeah check it out. If you want something that's not super duper expensive but still has a great sound get it. I use mine outdoors a lot. You might be able to get a better one if you spend a little more though, so if I were you I'd opt for that. Check out the reviews.

I agree though with the surround sound. I'm wanting to do something like that in my house. Wire it up with some surround sound so I can blast some music throughout the entire thing. That would be bad ass.

I want a disco ball too. Then I'd blaze up a fat J and get space out to the dark side of the moon.

I'm looking to replace some surround. I had some decent Sony equipment - six speakers, sub-woofer, all hooked to the big-screen and DVD/CD. But it had a few years on it and the main box crashed never to fire up again. Still have the speakers, but nothing to run them through. Maybe a sound bar? Yes, I do still have some music on CD. Too lazy to convert. But if you play it on decent equipment with good speakers, it sounds pretty good.

Check out the rest of the album too. The guys name is Pete Rock, album is called Petestrumentals. All instrumentals, no vocals, in case you haven't gathered that already. This dude is so talented. Stuff just sounds so good. It's just so chill.

JTA, do you know any real music? You keep this up, and Sometimes Lefty will be yelling something about you moving your uninteresting posts to your Facebook account. Just saying, read and heed!

You got something against Reggae/island music?
Dang, dude, head to Jamaica, Bahama, St. Croix, Turks & Caicos, Aruba, Antigua or any point in between, get a good Goombay Smash, some fresh Conch, and chill.

I have been in a reggae/hip-hop/soul kick the past month.

Seth Milner get up in the action and post some of your old folk polka tunes.
