Re: Judge throws out Occupy Chicago arrests
I've noticed charges either get dropped, or the prosecution continues the cases over, and over...there are many I know that cases were reset as late as 8/2013
And most charges change from what they were originally...simply disgusting type tactics
They just can't stand the fact that most are, or will be exonerated of false charges that were obviously acts enacted by "The Army of the Rich"... exerting itself over the general population at large
All too familiar dispositions that those with Authority wrongfully utilize.... damn cowards

Hey, I'm happy for them. What a deal. $30,000 for being a professional victim and enduring 30 or so minutes of pain. Where can I sign up?

Re: Judge throws out Occupy Chicago arrests
I'm not going to get pepper sprayed for less than $30k. Why should I get paid less? Oh, I know. I'm rich and don't deserve to get the same as the "peaceful students". I might join you in a demonstration if, like you say, we can find a mutual cause. BRN moderator injustice perhaps?Vrede wrote:"professional victim"???!!! They were peaceful students sitting down on a sidewalk, they risked arrest but did not intend to be victimized.Wneglia wrote:Hey, I'm happy for them. The pain is less a factor than the abuse of authority and suppression of rights.
If we can find an issue to agree on I'll be happy to hook you up for nonviolent civil disobedience. Let me know. Or, I'll give you $30 if you just let me pepper spray you.

From the Fast Company link in the story:
Shh.... It can hear you.The system also allows deep, granular analysis of crime patterns in real time. Information about suspects can also be quickly called up. At a press conference, Microsoft's Jennifer Tisch showed how integrated geographic information systems could display layers of real-time crime analysis for both misdemeanors and felonies. In addition, real-time access to multiple databases belonging to the NYC and other organizations can bring up a massive personal history--including both criminal and public domain information--from any suspect in a matter of seconds.

I can't speak for Doc, but I don't ever recall supporting police brutality.

Since Chicago is a place where no decent person would stay; why are the Cubs still there?
