The Music Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

 Good comeback!
So are you going to tell us what you like? I'm guessing classic country and 60-70's pop. I'm guessing not metal, early hard rock (Black Sabbath, et. al.), early alternative (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, et. al.), rap, or - apparently - reggae. Maybe jazz or smooth jazz. How about regional - Cajun, Appalachian, Tex-Mex?

I like just about anything that I can understand what in hell they're saying and it's not a mixture of screeching brakes or dying screams.. I do prefer classic country over today's so-called country music; I also like reggae (limited), jazz, and old style gospel. I'm not much on today's 7-11 contemporary gospel singing.

I failed to mention that I also like 50's & 60's classics. The following '65 classic was one of my wife's all-time favorites:

It shows! What are you smoking while listening? You shouldn't mix that stuff with Bud Light!
Are your visions as vivid as those in the video?

Oh yeah what's that supposed to mean?

And I'll have you know I've only been smoking the toenails and hair of the wisemen under a black god's thumb, dancing like a puppet.

It means I began having visions by listening to the first few minutes of that video!

Must have been one haunting experience!

Saw Steve Martin perform with the Steep Canyon Rangers last night at the Mountain Music Festival in Brevard. He can sure play that banjo.

I wish I had known he was there; I've seen him play the banjo on TV. He's awesome!

Just when you thought you couldn't like him less.

Justin Bieber Listening Party: Holes In Melbourne Model’s Drugged Drink Claim

There's no way I can know, but symptoms like "her lips, hands, and toes felt 'numb',” (from hyperventilation) are consistent with a panic attack, especially with teen girls, and her description of the paramedic and hospital care are suspicious. Then again, drink spiking does happen - right Mr. Cosby?

Looks like Wneglia's (ahem, "Bob Wood") retirement guitar lessons have been going well.
