 The Redracists "lead" the NFC East at 5-7. At least the AFC South has two 6-6 teams.

Red hot Seattle has clinched a wildcard slot, cool. Go Vikings, Jets & Steelers!

With both being led by a .500 team, the AFC South and NFC East are still vying for the worst division champ.

Odds to Win 2015 Super Bowl (2/7/16)

New England Patriots 7/2
Carolina Panthers 4/1
Arizona Cardinals 5/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 6/1
Seattle Seahawks 6/1
Green Bay Packers 12/1
Denver Broncos 15/1
Cincinnati Bengals 20/1
Kansas City Chiefs 40/1
Minnesota Vikings 50/1
Houston Texans 75/1
New York Jets 80/1
New York Giants 100/1
Washington Redskins 100/1
Philadelphia Eagles 125/1
Indianapolis Colts 200/1
Jacksonville Jaguars 650/1
Atlanta Falcons 1000/1
If I did the casino thing I could see putting money on the Panthers, Steelers and/or Seahawks at those odds.

Makes sense, but I could see some pretty nasty things getting the semi-implied sanction of trademark protection. The racist team name is going to go away sooner or later, anyhow.

The announcers said that the winner of the Packers-Vikings game next week could or would get the Seahawks at home while the loser will play in DC. Not much incentive to win in that.

Seattle 36-6 over 13-3 Arizona, on an 8-2 run, not losing by more than 7 since 9/20. Are the GB & MN fans without seats all hoping for a loss? I would be, but I like both and don't have a preference for which one the Seahawks trounce.

Backup QB Peyton Manning comes in for struggling Denver in the 2nd half, leads them to score 20 points, wins the #1 AFC seed rather than #5 seed, will likely be the starter in the playoffs. Wow.

Damn fine day to be a fan (or even former) of Panthers, 'Hawks, Iggles, 'Phins, and even the Sunburned Indigenous Americans.

Okay,
Steelers (Vegas: -2 1/2) > Bengals, but wouldn't bet on it.
Don't care about KC (Vegas: -3) vs. Texans, but would bet on KC.
Seahawks (Vegas: -5 1/2 in an away game!) > Vikings. Bummer that the next Seahawks game will be at the Panthers.
Packers > suburban DC (Vegas: -1).

2 for 2.

7 quarters without a home team point. That's gotta be a 1st for the first games of the playoffs, if not for any playoff stretch.

Wild finish in Cincy. I've not seen many teams self destruct like that. Good for "red shirt" rookie AJ McCarron doing his job, good for injured Big Ben coming back into the game to lead an under 2 minute, defense-assisted winning drive.

KC-Pats should be a good game, Pittsburgh won't survive Denver.

Holy crap. I would have been bitching about the BS pass interference call that helped get the Vikings w/in FG range if he'd made it. So, justice.

4 for 4, sweet. All 4 road playoff teams winning on the same weekend has never happened . . . but 2 losers had worse records, 1 was playing lucky Seattle and the 4th was the Bengals. Not that surprising.

I want:
Seattle > Carolina (Vegas: -3), but will then be rooting for Carolina if it wins.
Packers > AZ (Vegas: -7), but wouldn't bet on it straight up.
Broncos (Vegas: -7) > Steelers, mostly because I'm sure it will happen.
KC (rare for me) > the cheatin' Pats (Vegas: -5), but wouldn't bet on it straight up.

Roll Tide.

AJ done good, but shitbags like Burfict and Pacman- on top of all the usual steroidal bufoonery and ugliness of the NFL- are reminders of why I haven't watched pro ball in decades.
People are crazy and times are strange. I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range.
I used to care, but, things have changed.
