The Global Warming thread.

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

"... forecasts indicating New York City would be warmer than Los Angeles on Christmas Day.... More than 20 tornadoes were reported on Wednesday in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi and Tennessee", temps as much as 40 degrees above normal, thousands of records falling, 71 here this weekend, and thunder and lightning here right now!

Global Warming doesn't give a shit if you believe in it or not.

I think you may have meant, "Average temperature at north pole is 40 degrees *below* Fahrenheit during the winter."

Frozen pizza
Chicken wings
Big ass bottle of wine
12 pack of beer

I didn't really think this one through to be honest because that's all the food I really have aside from a lonely can of corn and some refried beans and a random assortment of disparate ingredients.

Gonna do this one live fellas.

the key to a good ho-cake is to use hot water

same for hushpuppies

the hot water makes them fluff

Is it possible to make pancake batter from scratch? What kind of sorcery is involved - white magic or black magic? Because I really want some pancakes, and I want them to taste magical.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
