Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

This Ad Is How You Reach The Young Women Voter Class?

Unread post by keyboarder »

So much for academics. Just cut thru the chase and give them a tasteless video, one that describes first time sexual experiences as related to first time voting experience. That's a real winner, Obama Campaign. I hope this video was ok'd by the Obama daughters. As young as they are, they should realize that this ad only recognizes the worth of women as nothing more than sex objects.

It does sexualize the voting experience but, like it or hate it, it does not make women "nothing more than sex objects" in any way. Try to make sense. When did you become such a feminist, anyhow?
Perhaps, now, ol' "keyboarder" is for women to have a choice in their reproductive rights?

A shocker, I tell ya! Image

I did make sense, you even said that it does sexualize the voting experience, which is the point. Want to reach young female voters? Just give them something they are interested in to compare it with. Sex, of all things !

My ideals about the feminine gender and their place in the world are not up for everyone's scrutiny. Of course it just "makes sense" to someone who is not of the liberal persuasion.

Then, there's that "$3.5 million deal with Random House to publish her first book, an essay collection called Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's Learned."
Never read her work, doubt I will after this video. Oh, and btw, please don't throw money at me. I'm not impressed by how much money anyone else makes. My literary tastes are more for that of the traditional conservative woman who may have excelled in the field of music or the arts as a whole. I can think of no better a working endeavor than being skilled in playing musical instruments in a symphony orchestra.

I don't get it. The libs/dems are going to vote for Obama, the cons/republicans are going to vote for Romney, OK done deal.
Now there is a boat load of undecided, women are a large group. Some Obama supporters from last round who maybe aren't doing very well now. Why would you treat them like dumb asses, they are not stupid and know their vote isn't going to be swayed by a rant about $9.00 birth control or Obama's never ending personal attacks. They want to see leadership and ANY plan not some idiot on calling people bullshitters acting like a turd whining continually about how bad things were 4 years ago. Bottom line is when they are in the voting booth they will ask am I better off then 4 years ago and who as an idea.
I do think Romney will get a majority of these votes just because he presidential looking and talks of us and we not I I I I I I I.

Most honest, accurate statement you've ever made on any forum.

Not news to us, but certainly a good start for you.

Maybe one day you will actually admit one of your mistakes.

Bottom line: Defective Colon is illiterate.

The "greatest generation, should be given credit for winning WWII. They came home with that victory and came home with an entitlement attitude because of it.

They saved the world from Hitler and screwed up the USA.

I also object to ads that only recognize Canadians as nothing more than sex objects.
