Gun Legislation

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I said nothing about "more guns". Pay attention.
That's ALL you've been saying.
No it isn't stupid; I've only advocated ownership and right to carry.

Getting a gun is your ONLY solution to the "gun in every purse, glove compartment and school locker" culture.
No, like a train wreck, you've jumped the track again. I've only advocated ownership and right to carry.

You misrepresent ANY effort to tone the gun culture down a bit as "they're gonna take everyone's guns away."
I've never said that outright either. You and your drab, dry sense of humor took a silly photo I posted and read it as true gospel just as expected that a shrieking moron alarmist would do.

You make the claim over and over again as though Ted Nugent, Mike Huckabee and Wayne LaPierre are taking turns shoving their hands up your ass to use you as a sock puppet.
There you go, pulling politicians and politics out your ass. Those people must really haunt your dreams and cause you to lose sleep at night; you eat, drink, and sleep political issues . . . and the funny part is, you don't even live in this damn country. Damn nosy-assed Canadians; tend to your own affairs.

Your problem isn't that people aren't paying attention. It's that they ARE.
Your problem is that you're so full of yourself. (we call that "shit" here in the U.S.) Take two Ex-Lax and call Vrede too in the morning. A spirited dance together will loosen "things" up a bit.

Oops my bad. You're right. I left out the comma after the word "isn't". Thanks for pointing that out; I'll try to do better.

Seth, you've violated rule #3 of internet flame wars.

Rule #3 of internet flame wars states that whenever calling someone dumb, stupid, or leveling any such insult at your opponents intelligence, ALWAYS do so without ANY grammatical or spelling errors. Logical fallacies are acceptable, however.

NEVER violate this rule, EVER. This is a very important rule to abide by in all circumstances.

Example: Your dumb.
Example: Why don't you go over their with the rest of the idiots.
Example: Your a moran.

None of these are acceptable. All violate rule #3 of internet flame wars.

The only exception to this rule is if you're drunk or high as a kite. But you must state so in your argument like this:

Edit: Am drunk.

Please not the "Edit:" is of utmost importance. You can't just say "Am drunk." You can only do so after posting your comment then going back and editing it.

Edit: Am drunk.

You must have been advocating something else, since neither of those issues are under contention and neither has any reasonable likelihood of any significant change. Isn't that a lot like arguing that cars should have brakes?

Sheriff: Man taking selfies with gun fatally shoots himself

CONCRETE, Wash. — A 43-year-old man has died after authorities say he accidentally shot himself in the face while taking selfies.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports (http://goo.gl/jJZQVw ) the man and his girlfriend were photographing themselves with the weapon on Sunday at a residence when he shot himself.

Skagit County Sheriff's Office Patrol Chief Chad Clark says the woman reported that she and the man had taken photos with the gun several times that day and that the man had loaded and unloaded bullets multiple times.

Clark says a bullet apparently remained in the gun the final time he fired.

The death is being investigated as accidental. Ya think? The man's name has not been released.

I rest my case.

The alarmist inbreds will believe anything they see; after all this is the Internet and everything you see is to be believed, right?
There is no proof anywhere that the sign is in fact posted by CPAC. I've seen this same identical sign posted in hotels, courthouses, and jail entrances; the latter two who do in fact, use metal detectors. Your Palin/Huckabee/Tea Party wannabe mentality has failed you again. As your dancing partner would say: "no credible proof". Fail, Mr. Wannabe, fail.

Seth beat you to this story, two posts up.

And he uses it to make the case that an excess of guns *doesn't* make people unsafe; just the idiots. (Ignoring all the idiots who accidently shoot bystanders.)

True. But even if not, it's still ironic that the "good guy with guns" crowd - spending enormous amounts of energy passing "guns everywhere" bills to allow people to go to places like bars, national parks, churches, and schools - is holding their convention in a "gun-free zone."

Ah, thanks, so we're back to:
Vrede too wrote:... Dumb people think that their anecdotes refute and make them exempt from statistical reality while posting easily debunked dumb things like, "Gun violence is at an all time high," and "What rock did you crawl out from under recently?" when rstrong accurately posts, "Here in reality, violent crime has been dropping for decades."
Dumb people also repeatedly paraphrase and project their own failing upon others when they can't face them.

You just acknowledged the sign could be anywhere; where's the proof that this is in fact CPAC, and they're holding their convention in a "gun-free zone." ?

In which, if you were an honest person, you wouldn't deny that would include yourself. When/where do you want to meet?

There's strong evidence for it, paranoid dummy. First, resorts may or may not allow guns, but they don't use metal detectors on their guests.

Then, if you weren't such a lazy and incompetent "investigator" you would have followed rstrong's link and seen that the pic came from:

That would be because it came from a reporter live-streaming news, pictures and video from the event, plus similar images from those who were there.

If you knew how idiotic you sound, you really ought to read my posts wherein I ALREADY SAID: "I've seen this same identical sign posted in hotels, courthouses, and jail entrances; the latter two who do in fact, use metal detectors."

Then, if you weren't such a lazy and incompetent "investigator" you would followed rstrong's link and seen that the pic came from:

I "followed rstrong's link"; there's STILL nothing there to indicate the sign is located at a CPAC meeting; it's nothing more than a photo of a sign, taken who knows where and by whom. Click on that address and tell us what you find there.

And I'm completely happy that's your opinion. Now show us where that "something is that's easily verified", we all want to see it.
