I'm sure that ethical standards and consistency are very "puzzling" to you. It shows.
You gave a reasonable explanation, with no hypocrisy.
Not quite.

Admission while tying to deflect with some imaginary false equivalency is wussy hypocrisy. I haven't "screwed up" here. Plus "I screwed up" covers everything from honest mistakes to believing misinformation to TIAs. You lied and got caught, period, and I doubt anyone thinks you would have ever corrected your lie if you hadn't been so clumsy with it. You even claimed that you did correct your lie before being caught, but billy.pilgrim caught you at that.
Seth Milner will never find an instance where I've lied like he did or one where I've not immediately corrected a factual error without the weaseling he just did. Watch, he'll just dishonorably whine some more without ever trying to back up his new post. Hence the reason he's on ignore, the childishness got old a long time ago.

Ha Ha! You are so predictable! That's why I wrote it was your turn; I knew you were going to milk this for all you could get out of it, hoping to impress the others with your witticisms (I mean , sorry.) And you call me childish! Grow up little child, grow up.

Let me fix that for you:
Dr. Schrödinger wrote:
Sorry about the delay, I was feeding my cat . . . or not.
What?
Dr. Schrodinger taught us that if one owns a cat and is tired of its shit, you simply seal it in a box and shelf it, as the cat at that point becomes neither dead nor alive.
In other words, ignoring your problems makes them go away.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.
I know about Jesus and mothers, please explain "motherfuckers".
I am an atheist. However, I have strong interests in Eastern religions and pantheism, and use religious symbolism in my vorks. I believe my scientific vork is an approach to the godhead, albeit in a metaphorical sense. Don't ask me vy they put me in a Catholic cemetery.
Vrede too wrote:... we're expected to believe that his work was so secret . . .
Nothing about my work is secret; I've told that. You're free to believe what you want.
Like you, I have enemies; mine are "dead" serious ones; not like yours that you've merely verbally insulted.

Lotta noise coming from that closet. Let me guess -

As rstrong says, the first lie was explained, as was the second lie due to self-befuddlement. Fine, but I have to wonder why lying was the go to option rather than just deleting the supposedly truthful "Yes" post? Questions go unanswered here all the time. Seems really really stupid to me.
"Lotta noise coming from that closet". . . You keep saying that; what are you doing in that closet that's so secretive?
(not that I'm sure I want to know)

... The pontiff met on Sept. 23 with Yayo Grassi, a U.S-based Argentine caterer, Grassi's male partner of 19 years, Iwan Bagus and three other people for 15 minutes, Grassi told Reuters.
Grassi, 67, has known the pope since Francis, 78, taught him literature and psychology at a high school in Argentina in the 1960s and has stayed in touch.
"What I can say is that he met with me knowing that I am gay, and we had an extraordinary, very moving conversation," Grassi said....
At the end of their conversation, Francis embraces both men and kisses them on the cheek....
Nttawwt.
In other words, a gay couple had a more intimate meeting with the Pope than Kim Davis did. She loses, again.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò is a staunch conservative and was vocally opposed to same-sex marriage throughout his five-year tenure as the Vatican’s nuncio (ambassador) to the United States.
He also sent an anonymous invite to Ms. Kim Davis, of anti-equality fame, to the Pope’s DC visit.
