Wingnutties out of control!

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Of course he doesn't. As always he posts Huckabee/Cruz/Palin/Tea Party wingnuttery, and EXCLUSIVELY Huckabee/Cruz/Palin/Tea Party wingnuttery. The really goddamned stupid stuff that only someone like him would believe.

And then he'll again claim that he isn't partisan.

What would the world be with the repugs – from Peeteep advocating economic war against sister states to this moron saying that the existence of something violates his right to not see it

Todd claims that the availability of pornography is violating his “First Amendment right to not view it.” –

See more at: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/u ... hy-violate...

And not to be outdone by the moron from Utah, long time bigot and hater of all that is different Tony Perkins chimed in with this bit o info,

Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council and the host of the program, compared the availability of pornographic websites at such locations to “second-hand smoke,” saying that children and families can end up watching porn from other people’s computers and “the public has a right not to be confronted with this.” –

Ken Starr to resign as Baylor's chancellor

Awww, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. How could this possibly happen at a Baptist university in Texas?

Shit. Does this mean my property taxes are gonna go up?

:(
Last year, Haley said she would support a gas-tax increase to help pay for road repairs only if lawmakers agreed to reform highway spending and cut income taxes by a far larger amount. She billed it as the largest tax cut in state history.
Income taxes are already super super low. I disagree with income taxes, but also see the necessity. I'd rather see higher taxes on consumption vs. income, so raise the gas taxes a bit. That I can get behind.
“We take almost $600 million off the top (in state spending) for the property-tax relief fund,” Democrat Cobb-Hunter said. “A few years ago, we, as a General Assembly, said, ‘You know what? It is more important to us that we provide taxpayer-homeowner relief than it is for us to fund education or fix our roads.’ That has become a sacred cow.”
Yes.
South Carolinians might think they are overtaxed.
I do not feel this way at all. Maybe because I hail from the People's Republic of New Jersey, where my pops pays nearly four grand a year in property taxes for a dilapidated tiny house built in 1945 on a tiny parcel of land. My step-sister and her man pay about seven thousand.

I dislike property taxes. BUT, I'm also not an idiot and like living in a first world country. I understand their necessity, and I understand the need for the state to have some means to acquire revenue, and as a property owner I recognize the benefits I receive in return for taxes - roads, schools, fire department, police department, etc.. However, I think they can get out of hand, so kudos for SC keeping them reasonable so people making less money than I can also afford home ownership.

Property taxes paid as a percentage of the value of a owner-occupied home in S.C. The national average was twice as high.
Right on!

Another Trayvon in the news

Family Of Florida Teen Fatally Shot Blames Home Owner

It was said he was shot while going OUT the window . . . that's not a situation where the homeowner's life is in danger . . . :?:

But then, there's this:
"How else was he going to pay for his clothes to wear to school"? Huh? :-0?>

How is that "Another Travon?"

The bit that racist inbreds like yourself gloss over is that Trayvon was doing NOTHING WRONG when the rent-a-cop provoked the confrontation with him.

You want some cheese with your whine? I'm not Canadian, so the "inbred" handle doesn't fit me.

Two Trayvons:

Both were named Trayvon.
The first was a strong-arm street punk who got his ass blown away by a rent-a-cop when he tried to beat him up.
Yes, he wasn't doing anything wrong, but George didn't just walk up to him and shoot him either.
The second was a neighborhood punk who broke into houses and got his ass shot by a homeowner.
The fact remains that they were both Black; the results would have been the same regardless of their race.
You can cease with your whiny 'offendedness' now.

Did I type this too fast for you? Let me know if I did, and I'll type it again for you in a Canadian dialect.

No, George followed Trayvon - with a gun - when Trayvon was doing nothing wrong.
Police explicitly told George to stop following Trayvon, he kept following anyway.
When George provoked a confrontation with the minor and it went badly for him, he shot the minor to death.

If Trayvon were white, people like you would be calling him a saint who merely defended himself after being pushed too far.

Possibly. The double standard in policing is well established.

Had Trayvon Martin been white, he might have been shot anyway. But there's plenty of justification for doubt. George Zimmerman might have been cleared in the first "investigation" anyway. But there's plenty of justification for doubt. Zimmerman might (after eventually being charged) have been acquitted anyway. But given the appearance of an initial investigation biased to sweep the incident under the rug, there's plenty of justification for doubt.

That's pretty much indisputable. It was primarily a white neighborhood, with few black people there at all, and Trayvon wasn't a regular resident. George noticed him simply because he was a black kid in his "white" neighborhood. He immediately suspected him because he was black.
