Re: Just for Fun
Nothing funny about them; the intent was to reminisce about the past 71/2 years that Michelle took flak over her appearances, as compared to other first ladies. There was another photo that I couldn't find where she was rather tacky looking in the presence of some dignitary; don't remember who.O Really wrote:So Seth - what is it about the pics you posted that is supposed to be funny and earn all the LOL's? The photo that Vrede posted was a strikingly attractive Michelle Obama with a caption "Miss me yet?" I replied that she would be missed; the photos are reminders of days gone by. Now the paparazzi and the press will have a field day with Mrs. Trump or . . or . . or Mr. Clinton?

Dude I don't think Michelle Obama looks all that bad. If she showed up at my house with a box of wine and was like "ayy" I'd be like "m'kay".Seth Milner wrote:Vrede too wrote:

Yeah, she'll be missed. It's been an interesting seven and a half years.

I agree; she's very attractive . . . at times. That's why I wrote "The photo that Vrede posted was (of) a strikingly attractive Michelle Obama"JTA wrote: Dude I don't think Michelle Obama looks all that bad. If she showed up at my house with a box of wine and was like "ayy" I'd be like "m'kay".
You'd have to contend with a crowded date . . . Secret Service and all that.

Re: Just for Fun
It's not because Michelle dresses any worse than previous first ladies. Like any human being, like every previous First Lady, Michelle will occasionally wear casual clothing.Seth Milner wrote:Nothing funny about them; the intent was to reminisce about the past 71/2 years that Michelle took flak over her appearances, as compared to other first ladies.O Really wrote:So Seth - what is it about the pics you posted that is supposed to be funny and earn all the LOL's? What's different is that now any idiot can paste the First Lady wearing casual clothing into a picture with supermodels or Air Force One. And any inbred sub-moron too stupid to spot the picture edit let alone even think about it, can post it to forums like this one. See mirror for details.

I can't remember for sure and don't care enough to look it up, but I thought that pic was of her getting off AF1 once.

Re: Just for Fun
Well, let's look at what Seth posted, and see whether it meets his stated intent of just providing some balance to an attractive "do you miss me" pic.
All celebrities get caught in unflattering poses/clothing from time to time. Except Taylor Swift, maybe, who apparently pops out of bed with perfect makeup and hair. But consider the pics. The one coming down the steps, maybe from AF1, was largely publicized by right-wingers who generally didn't even bother to hide the racial aspect of their scorn. It was mainly used to criticize her effort to encourage better nutrition in schools, calling her "fat." The one with her dog is stretched, with an effect like watching a 4:3 program on a 16:9 screen. The one with the other women on the steps was photoshopped. Michelle wasn't there. But who circulated those? People who were trying to trash Michelle for being ummm, Michelle, the FLOTUS.
So each of those pics were used/created solely to denigrate the First Lady. Not simply catching her with the wind blowing up her skirt, as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has been pictured. Not simply catching her without makeup, or just looking tired, as has happened to Hillary as First Lady. Not even just taking advantage of an awkward pose as was done to LBJ when he appeared to hold up his hound by the ears. But pics distorted and photoshopped for the sole reason of derogatory ridicule.
Post 'em if you like, Seth, but they're not "fun."

Be nice; at least he's still more smart, cool and successful than the trained chickens at state fairs. Hate groups could train them to peck Copy & Paste buttons to repost their images and claims to various forums, but they're using Seth Milner instead. He must be doing a better job.Vrede too wrote:Dis her all you want on such superficial things, Seth Milner, you never had a shot at being as smart, cool and successful as MO.
(Either that or there's some things even chickens won't do.)

Hate mongers trained him to use Copy & Paste buttons to repost images and claims to various forums. He's doing a great job.

So exactly what is the acceptable thickness for skin? How tasteless must a "joke" get before a person expresses disagreement or offense? How personal does it need to be before self defense is not just an inability "to take a joke?" How long should a person stand quietly by while somebody insults his/her friend, family, political views, whatever, without responding?

Re: Just for Fun
I could not find a Michelle Obama "Miss Me Yet?" pic on line. I'll bet if one of you geeks created one and posted it a few places, possibly even juxtaposing it with Bill and Melania pics like I did above, it would catch on.
