HeckuvaJob Brownie: Obama Prepared Too Quickly

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

HeckuvaJob Brownie: Obama Prepared Too Quickly

Bush’s FEMA Director During Katrina Criticizes Obama For Responding To Sandy Too Quickly (Link)
Yesterday, ahead of the storm’s pummeling of the eastern seaboard, Brown gave an interview to the local alternative paper, the Denver Westword, on how he believed the Obama administration was responding to Sandy too quickly and that Obama had spoken to the press about Sandy’s potential effect too early.
Oh, those wacky Republicans.

LOL! Indeed, they are wacky, rstrong.

Obama certainly made Christie a believer in his leadership capabilities ... 8-)

If this wasn't an election year Obama would have never left the Basketball Court. :oII

That's in direct conflict with your repeated statement that Obama does nothing but campaign and will do anything to get re-elected. Which is it? Do something to make himself look good, or stay on the basketball court knowing that he'll be trashed.?

Serious comment - I've never cared much for Christie, for a variety of reasons, but I give him props for his working with Obama in this mess, even if it helps Obama in the election. Dude has more principles than I would ever have imagined.

As Biden said at his speech in Ocala today, " ... in this crisis, Republicans and Democrats were acting the way Republicans and Democrats are supposed to act."

No filibusters in play to deny the much needed help to the Northeast ...

There's no pleasing some people.

Krauthammer is a long time Obama hater, except when he sometimes praises his
political skills, but other than that he goes off the handle, though he's not as bad
as Sowell, who frequently gets downright wingnutty on the subject.

It appears the president and the feds learned from the fiasco with Katrina. It also helps the village idiots, Governor Blanco and "School Bus" Nagin are not around.

We agree. Also, the Corps of Engineers is not involved with Sandy. When they touch things they usually do not go well. I have personal experience.

sorry tag, but the dems learned not to act like the cons acted during Andrew; andrew helped clinton win the election. too bad the cons never learned and doubled down on mistakes during katrina

Seems as though things are fallen apart pretty fast in the NE. No gas fights at the pumps, no electric for at least the next few weeks in some areas, Non Union Crews being turned away. http://nj1015.com/report-non-union-alab ... ew-jersey/I figure unless your an Obama Union Supporter there's no reason to try to help.

You keep posting the same BS without answering the questions I ask even with citations.
If no more workers were needed why is there still 2 weeks later no power in many places? Yet they are whining well there's a lot of work for our crews. Then why turn them away if you needed them. And the Unions would never ever lie to save face would they now? :-||

too much faux news screws with your brain

if crews were turned away, it was because they were not needed - if you read the statement from the Ala company, that is explained.

it is evident that you and that idiot stevie doocy have never been through a hurricane - restoring elec is a process - they start in one area and work through the system - I went 16 days after Erin, 8 days after Opal, 12 days after Ivan, etc. and in those events crews were moved around where needed. I have never seen them do anything other than start at the main lines and work out into the subdivisions

they all want the lights on and know so damn much more about how to do it than you do

hurricanes cause damage - extensive damage - and it will be years before it is all cleaned up

but you want it all done immediately but laughed at the damage from katrina - can you say disingenuous
