- Trumpsucker Republicans have been trained by Cruz and others in recent years to be disgusted with the "Republican Establishment." With no much Republican establishment not backing Trump, and Trump only able to escalate rather than admit failure, Trump and the Trumpsuckers form their own party. Cruz, Palin and all the clown car candidates and Tea Party join them.

- The adults stay with the Republican party. But adults don't get media coverage. Clowns and wingnuts do. That includes Fox News, as always getting revenue from impotent right-wing rage.

- With the vote split the Republican Party is decimated in the next election. Trump's party does better, but still doesn't win. They blame Republicans for splitting the vote. Attacks escalate.

- Remaining Republicans have no choice but to cross over to Trump's party, if they want a chance of being elected. Control of the House and Senate is dissolved completely. The last vestiges of the old Republican Party have been firmly swept away. The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station... [...] Sorry.

Yeah, there would have been a conflict between the Trump that cares more about winning than doing and the Trump that likes telling others what to do. Systemic limits on the latter definitely could have frustrated him into quitting.

In any case, the charge wouldn't stick. While Mike Pence handles all the foreign and domestic policy, Trump would still have more presence than most Presidents. Just imagine Trump....

- Conducting business from the Oval Office
- Giving State of the Union addresses
- Interrupting TV to address the nation
- Hosting and visiting foreign leaders
- Showing up in Air Force One
- Refusing to pardon the turkey

Heck, most presidents' International Women's Day speeches go unnoticed and unreported. Trump's wont.
