Wonder why Gowdy or some other toad hasn't called for an investigation just to find out whether Powell or somebody else had ever used a non-approved server. Isn't it a compelling question. It was alleged that they did. Where is the investigation? Oh yeah, it's just Hillary in the pillory, I guess.

It was more than alleged.

Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice used private accounts for classified emails. In fact Colin Powell advised Hillary to do so.

Then there's Bush II, Cheney, Rove and anyone else connected to the Bush White House email controversy, tens of millions of White House emails sent through private servers. Millions of them lost. With the same security issues.

And Jeb!, who as Florida governor used his own server against the rules to discuss security and military issues such as troop deployments to the Middle East and the protection of nuclear plants. Other 2016 candidates Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal each have their own missing email scandals. Mitt Romney too.

And of course there's all those Congressman who claim that they "don't use email", while having their aides use their private accounts to avoid FOIA requests.

And why isn't Hillary's explanation believable, that she didn't intentionally send classified information? After months of digging, they come up with 110 or so, almost all the lowest classification (confidential) and nothing addressing the subject content as to whether it was of substance.

And if I understand correctly, they weren't classified emails that she sent out. In every case it was information - without the headers that marked them as classified - that others sent her.

The bush email through the rnc was to hide the partisan, possibly illegal, firing of non partisan federal prosecutors and installing bush/cheney picks


It should be investigated, who knows, they may uncover an illegal war or two and hundreds of thousands of deaths

Comey letter receives surprise criticism from GOP

... Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, the Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a four-page letter to Comey on Monday asking for more details on the emails — saying the director’s “difficult decision” to disclose the discovery of the emails so close to Election Day requires more context for voters.

“Without additional context, your disclosure is not fair to Congress, the American people, or Secretary Clinton,” Grassley wrote. “In the absence of additional, authoritative information from the FBI in the wake of your vague disclosure, Congress and the American people are left to sift through anonymous leaks from Justice Department officials to the press of varying levels of detail, reliability, and consistency. The American people deserve better than that.” ...

“I think this was probably not the right thing for Comey to do — the protocol here — to come out this close to an election,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Republican chairman of the staunchly conservative House Freedom Caucus, told Fox News Radio on Monday. “But this whole case has been mishandled and now it is what it is.” ...

Former Bush administration officials also criticized Comey’s move.

“There’s a longstanding policy of not doing anything that could influence an election,” George J. Terwilliger III, a deputy attorney general under President George H.W. Bush, told the New York Times. “Those guidelines exist for a reason. Sometimes, that makes for hard decisions. But bypassing them has consequences.”

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales told MSNBC that Comey made “an error in judgment in releasing this letter which really says nothing.” ...

In other words, there's nothing there that we know of, Comey is an unpatriotic jerk for publicly speculating about nothing, and Trump and his ovine Trumpettes are idiots for crowing about nothing, even according to Republicans.

I wish Hillary had been more aggressive in targeting people who are voting trump because their husbands have fox on during every waking moment that they aren't watching sports. Every football game I watch has trump ads but no hillary. His ads are on msnbc and cnn, but I don't see hers on fox.

Especially early on why wasn't she running ads with the #2 guy in the House bragging that Benghazi was only about bringing her down. Similar has been said about the email. They have spent 4 years building these lies, some honest advertising on fox might just show a few wives what they can do in the privacy of the voting booth.

I don't pretend to understand how TV ad buys are decided upon, but up here there are more Hillary ads than Trump ones and they've been playing for longer.
