Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

On the other hand there ARE signs that Trump & Friends are starting to behave like traditional Republicans:

MoFo's are okay, though.

Mike Pence Thinks Working Mothers Damage Their Kids’ Emotional Growth
New Trump foreign adviser accused of Holocaust denial: 'Ovens were too small to kill 6 million Jews'

... Right when you think the Donald Trump and his campaign can’t get any worse, this.

By the way, Joseph Schmitz and Donald Trump, the Holocaust victims weren’t killed in the ovens. Their bodies where cremated in ovens until the Nazis switched to mass graves. While conducting your foreign advisory board meetings, perhaps read up on some world history. You’ll discover most of the Jewish Holocaust victims were shot, gassed, starved, burned alive, frozen alive, crushed alive, diseased, worked to death, beaten to death, and murdered while being used for human experimentation— without the use of anesthetics… You fucking fucks.
Trump names donor who gave $6 mil to Super PAC, $5 mil to Trump Foundation to Cabinet-rank position

Donald Trump has named former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon as his nominee to head the Small Business Association. Notably, McMahon has made significant contributions to getting Donald Trump elected:
... She's donated $6 million in August and September to Rebuilding America Now, a super PAC that supported Trump's presidential bid.
Not only did the near-billionaire McMahon pony up big time to get him elected, she’s also the single largest donor to the Trump Foundation, having given nearly as much as the total amount Trump AND his companies have donated to the foundation themselves ...

Can you say “pay to play”? Trump is handing out admin jobs to cronies and loyalists like champagne at Mar-A-Lago Resort wedding. Boy, it's a good thing "Crooked Hillary" isn't around to pass along jobs to her foundation donors.

Cool new trump quote

“That plays great before the election. Now, we don’t care, right?”
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Trump tweet:
Reports by @CNN that I will be working on The Apprentice during my Presidency, even part time, are ridiculous & untrue - FAKE NEWS!
But, a few days prior Kellyann Conway says:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/09/politics/ ... pprentice/

Kellyanne Conway on Friday defended President-elect Donald Trump's decision to remain an executive producer on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" even as he takes office, arguing that "presidents have a right to do things in their spare time."
Then a whataboutism deflection to Obama playing golf.

There's one good thing about a Trump presidency: The State of the Union addresses will be a LOT shorter.

"The winner this year is Florida!"

"California, you're fired!'

That makes so much sense.... the #1 predictor of being a Trump supporter is being an authoritarian.

Yeah, makes sense. You've all probably encountered the same discussion:

"Obama is weak!"

"That Putin, now he's a strong leader!"

And more endless praise for Putin for being a strong "alpha male".

A friend of mine often praised Trump for being so "alpha" and saying and doing whatever he wanted with disregard for others.

"Trumps going to beef up out military and pump more money into it and make us strong again".

You can be an intelligent person, but also at the same time be incredibly ignorant of history, and due to that fail to see how figures like Trump can absolutely fuck things up, as has happened time and time again in the past.

Also, I think we in the USA have lived in times of relative stability and surplus for so long that we fail to realize that this is not the norm. We could very well find ourselves living in utter poverty starving and scrounging for change to feed our families. Weve become so used living in a wealthy first world country that we've taken this lifestyle for granted, believing it to be the default state of affairs when it's not and things could very well change should our elected officials steer us down that dark path.

And then there's Trump's visit to Mexico a few months ago to meet with the Mexican President. Anti-Mexico tough talk before. Anti-Mexico tough talk after returning, in a speech the same night. But during the visit? No tough-talk. He acted thoroughly intimidated, like he was in the presence of a superior alpha male.

Haha. Hilarious. Do you have a source for that? I'd like to read about it. Trump is so outclassed on the world stage it's pathetic.

The video of his speech in Mexico - compared to his speeches in the US - really shows it:

Washington Post: How Trump's tone on Mexico changed when he actually visited Mexico

As The Economist summed it up:
Donald Trump visited Mexico where he met the president, Enrique Peña Nieto, and spoke of his affection for Mexicans as “honest, hardworking people”. He then went to Arizona where he reiterated his hardline policy on immigration, promising to build an “impenetrable ” wall on the border that Mexico would pay for. Mr Trump said he did not discuss who would pay for the wall with Mr Peña Nieto; the president said they did and it wouldn’t be Mexico.

50 737 Max 8s, and 30 777s. Boeing says the Iran Air deal "will support tens of thousands of U.S. jobs" linked to the 777s alone. It'll be interesting to see what Republicans - not just Trump - have to say about the deal.

Yeah, I know. Until it's found he's had a hand, in any way, in the election results, we're stuck with him.

As far as his cabinet selections, whether we like it or not, as POTUS, it's his privilege to choose who he wishes...it's up to the senate to confirm 'em.

Tell the Senate: Block the CEO of Exxon from running the State Department!

It looks like our next Secretary of Energy may be oil-loving former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who once famously failed to remember the name of the Energy Department while simultaneously vowing to eliminate it. How much worse can it get?

OK, so I absolutely do not believe Trump's reptilian brain works like this, but it occurred to me that maybe-just maybe-there's some value in appointing somebody to run an agency they have formerly opposed. It's easy to sit on the outside and tell somebody else what an awful job they're doing. You don't have to know anything about the job, or what it's goals are, or what challenges are involved in it. You can just scream "you're an effin' idiot - anybody could have ...<whatever>" But when you are in a position to actually run it, often your perspective changes. If they get past the first week or so when they still think they know everything and far more than anybody who's been involved for years, it's possible they can bring quite a few detractors along with them. Stranger things have happened, including Trump getting elected. About as likely as Cleveland going from worst to first next year to be Super Bowl champs, but still... Otherwise, there's no room for anything other than utter despair.

Hey, I thought that desperate silver linings were my thing. :P
Marco Rubio: ‘I have serious concerns’ about Rex Tillerson nomination

A tough statement from Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on Tuesday suggests that Rex Tillerson could face a rocky confirmation hearing for secretary of state.

Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which will preside over Tillerson’s hearing, took a number of implicit shots against the CEO’s record at ExxonMobil....

Rubio had previously expressed reservations about Tillersons’s ties to Russia. In 2013, the business mogul won Russia’s Order of Friendship award after signing deals with a Kremlin-owned oil company, according to the Washington Post.

“Being a ‘friend of Vladimir’ is not an attribute I am hoping for from a #SecretaryOfState,” Rubio tweeted Sunday....
