The homophobic thread :>

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

If repealed tomorrow, this is a complete disaster for the GOP Raleigh wingnuts and haters:

All the state money spent and all the state and private money lost.
The unquantifiable long lasting damage to the state's reputation.
McCrory ousted.
All the non-bathroom elements of the law discarded, too, including local minimum wage and local nondiscrimination against gays and others prohibitions.
Any local government, including Charlotte, will be free to pass any of the elements that were banned for 3/4 of a year, including re bathrooms.
The vast majority of transgenders will continue using the bathroom of their choice, just as they have been doing for decades, with or without local government protection.

Great job, GOP Raleigh wingnuts, you are failures by any measure. I hope you're lurking, Seth Milner (or are already here as Mr.B).

What really happened yesterday with HB2

Since there’s a lot of confusion about what happened yesterday, we wanted to take a moment to break it down for you.

After hours of waiting around, Senator Berger introduced a partial repeal bill that would have banned municipalities from enacting non-discrimination or minimum wage ordinances indefinitely. In practice, it would’ve kept key elements of HB2 intact.

As Senator Jeff Jackson (D - Mecklenburg Co.) said on the floor, “This was NOT the deal.” Senator Berger then used parliamentary tricks to “split” the moratorium provision from the repeal of HB2. To be clear: if both parts had passed, they would have been unified into a final bill that would have kept significant parts of HB2 in place.

That gave advocates for the complete repeal of HB2 only one option: vote against the bill. 14 Senate Democrats co-sponsored a clean repeal bill yesterday, but Senator Berger refused to hear it on the floor. It probably would have passed if he had.

In the end, about $50,000 in taxpayer money was wasted on this session and HB2 remains on the books because Republicans never wanted to fully repeal HB2.

We’ll continue to lose sporting events and business because of this discriminatory law, and it will be hard for Charlotte or Democrats to ever trust the Republican leaders of the legislature on this again. One thing is increasingly clear. There’s only one way to repeal HB2: replace the people who passed it and who continue to support it. (In a court-ordered re-vote in 2017 thanks to the NC GOP's racist gerrymandering.)

... Thank you so much to everyone who joined us yesterday or supported us online. Have a Happy Holidays!

(president of the N.C. NAACP William J.) Barber to call for NAACP to back economic boycott of North Carolina

Ironically, SC, which just had a 15 year boycott lifted when it finally removed the slaver flag from its State Capitol, is already benefiting from the NC boycott, including by landing NCAA games.

Debi Jackson's god undoubtedly is also your god.

Your owning a glove box full of tools don't make you a mechanic. "Just because someone calls themselves a Christian ....." ... you know.

So easily can a child be brainwashed; must be what happened to you at a young age; you sure didn't learn your **condescending,** narcissistic, disposition on your own. (**50¢ words plagiarized from my "other identity" )
Well looky here, the canineninny is back. Are you ready to find me offensive again? Anybody can call themselves anything they want to. Hell, I'm president of the United States because I just said so. I think Mr.B's God is different than the god of faggotry you liberals worship. That's why your bitch didn't win the election and you are so pissed off. Tough shit.

Mr.B's opinions are different from what *most anyone* believes. Polls show that a majority of Americans support same-sex marriage, and the percentage is rising. That includes Christians. Major denominations support it, and even the Catholic church is occasionally blessing same-sex unions.

It ain't just "liberals"; it's libertarians. People who don't want to give the government the ability to dictate who can and can't get married based on one particular sect's views.

And of course conservatives. I support same-sex marriage. Prominent conservatives like Dick Cheney and George & Barbara Bush support it. We're talking conservative as in the dictionary definition, not the "worships Sarah Palin/Ted Cruz/Donald Trump" definition.

It's not a "liberal" thing. Get used to it.

Pure horseshit, whining from a fag lover. I said before that liberals and fag lovers are dancing in the streets over the filth and freaks of nature coming out from under their garbage heaps. What's left of moral society see this proliferation of filth as a scourge. Any church that supports these freaks of nature are doing it for the numbers and the dollars, not because they are doing the work they're supposed to be doing. you can spout your acceptance shit all you like. I'm not much on the Bible, but Mr.B is right as far as quoting what the Bible says about degenerates and filthy living; it's abomination and disgusting in the sight of God. OTOH, if you don't believe in God, it makes no difference to you, so why run someone else's beliefs in the ground?
It's not a "liberal" thing. Get used to it.
Not entirely. Because you, Verde tutu, canineninny, Buttrocker and few others have fags and twat twinkies, probably some "I don't know what the fuck I am" in your families, that's why you support this filthy shit. You got them, you live with them, don't smear their shit on everybody else in the name of tolerance and politics.

I enter that "special", poop-obsessed, fantasy world when I log into this forum. The turds are most active here. There's no such thing as truth here, other than your not denying you all are lovers of faggotry and filth. Poor things.

Sister Wives Star Mariah Brown Reveals How Her Conflict Over Being Gay Turned Her into a Homophobe

Growing up as a devout fundamentalist Mormon in a polygamous family, Mariah Brown struggled to come to terms with her sexuality. Terrified of being gay, the Sister Wives star says she became a self-proclaimed homophobe.

“It was something I was so scared of in myself,” she says in the latest issue of PEOPLE. “If you were to ask me my biggest fear, it would have been to be gay.” ...
Sound familiar?
... Just before Thanksgiving, Mariah told her family, including her father, Kody, biological mother, Meri, and her mothers through polygamy, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, that she was gay.

“I’m so proud of her for having the strength,” says Meri.

While their church may not approve of homosexuality, the Brown family is standing by their daughter....
