The petition to Senate Republican leaders reads:
"Hold Sen. Jeff Sessions publicly and visibly accountable for sanctioning Donald Trump’s comments about serial sexual assault. Strip Sessions of all of his committee responsibilities and assignments.”
Trump helpfully backed that dressing room allegation with another recording that emerged this week:On an extraordinary day even by 2016 standards, a raft of allegations emerged about Trump’s behaviour towards women, teenage girls – and a 10-year-old.
- Two women, Jessica Leeds and Rachel Crooks, told the New York Times that Trump groped or kissed them without consent.
- Another woman, Mindy McGillivray, claimed she was groped by the Republican nominee at a Trump foundation event at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida.
- Natasha Stoynoff, a reporter for People magazine, who said Trump forced himself on her shortly before she was due to interview him and his wife in 2005.
- Two Miss USA contestants claimed Trump deliberately walked in on them when they were naked in a dressing room. Five Miss Teen USA contestants also told Buzzfeed he had entered their dressing room while the young women – aged between 15 and 19 – were getting changed.
- A recording emerged in which Trump appears to sexualise a 10-year-old girl, with a video recording him saying of the child: “I am going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?”
Well, I’ll tell you the funniest is that before a show, I’ll go backstage and everyone’s getting dressed, and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it ... I sort of get away with things like that.
Even for those of us that don't like Hillary, this is a great day for America.Voters Travel Near and Far to Pay Homage to Feminist Icon on Election Day
One hundred and forty-four years ago, a woman named Susan B. Anthony was arrested for voting in a presidential election.
Today, millions of women will cast their vote for Hillary Clinton -- the first female presidential nominee for a major political party.
Anthony's home city of Rochester, New York, is honoring her role in the movement for women's right to vote. It has become a bit of a tradition in Rochester to place "I Voted" stickers on Anthony's grave, but this year's turnout is unprecedented given the historic nature of the election.
The City of Rochester posted on Facebook that thousands have already gathered at the site. Mount Hope Cemetery is open until 9 p.m. so last-minute voters can still stop by to add their "I Voted" stickers, as well as special stickers made by the city that read, "#BecauseOfWomenLikeHER," on Anthony's grave.
Dozens of women visited the suffragette's grave to leave flowers or their "I Voted" stickers when Hillary Clinton became the Democratic nominee earlier this year. Some women, such as Elissa Blattman and her mother, visited Anthony's grave after early voting.
"Ever since I first found out about people putting their 'I Voted' stickers on Susan B. Anthony’s grave, it has been on my bucket list to do the same," Blattman told ABC News.
So she and her mother drove more than 350 miles from Rockville, Maryland (my childhood home, represent!), to Rochester, New York, to honor the iconic feminist.
"Words cannot express how glad I am that I got to pay tribute to her in this way, using the sticker I received after voting for the potential first woman president," she said....
Women Are Donating to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence's Name
A brilliant act of defiance.
... To that end, women all over are donating to Planned Parenthood in his name. Not only are they supporting much-needed services for women, but they're also ensuring that certificates with the donation information are sent to Pence's office....
