Could be China, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Polynesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Arctic and Antarctic and two cantons in Switzerland.
True story: when Kid O Really was in elementary school, the kids had an assignment in international customs and food. They had to do a report to the class and serve some food. (Yes, I know - they don't even allow cookies anymore, but that's a different rant). Kid was maybe not quick enough to choose a country, so Korea was assigned. Kid's mom had no intention of actually cooking any Korean food, but there was a really good Korean restaurant fairly close by and we put together a menu and ordered take-out. Kid did a good job on the report, but some other brat in the class started talking about how Koreans eat dog and then nobody would touch anything Kid had brought. To make matters worse, some of the other brats would bark at Kid as they went by - for several days after the event!

Re: The Dog Thread
Good tactic, I'd never heard of it. I've always kicked upwards between the 2 dogs, which has worked but has risks to them and to my foot. I've treated many people that have reached in with their hands.Woman rescues her attacked pup with a tip she learned on Reddit
... "I grabbed him by his hind legs and yanked backward like the [Reddit LifeProTip] post described. I 'wheelbarrow' walked him backwards off Kenai, and from that awkward angle, he wasn't able to get around to bite me," she wrote on Imgur, "Kenai ran off to a safe distance and waited for me to catch up." ...

Woman duct tapes dead chicken to dog’s neck ‘to teach it a lesson’
I've heard of this training technique before, never tried it, don't know if it works. Livestock chasing dogs, let alone ones that kill, get summarily killed lots of places and it's perfectly legal. My roommate's puppy was shot for chasing cows and there wasn't a thing he could do. Better a humiliated dog than a dead one, though I've never heard of tying a cow around a dog's neck. 9 hours seems way excessive, but I'm not sure this is automatically cruelty. What do y'all think? k9nanny?

Re: The Dog Thread
If I tied a dead chicken to my dog's neck, he would only declare war on all chickens, and I sure as hell wouldn't let him in the house.
Or, most likely, he would use his lethal paws to draw some chicken blood, maybe shred some chicken meat, then joyfully search out more yummy poultry. If, by chance, the chicken stayed secure on his neck until the fowl turned foul, he would be in heaven and roll around in ecstasy.
Seems like a dumb idea to me, very lazy, and totally ignorant. There are better methods of training, but it involves a bit of time and commitment. Allowing a dog and a chicken to co-mingle is asking for it. Dogs will be dogs, duh.
Hmmm ... you might could strap knives to a rooster's legs, like the cockpit fighters do. One chomp, one slice, and the dog would probably be cured.
No, I don't think it qualifies as cruelty, just plain ol' stupidity.

So, train the dog, free granny, arm future potential victims and eat the chicken. Thanks.

We thought our jerk russell terrorist had Tourette's. He would constantly jump up from a dead sleep and do what can only be described as cursing. It took a year or so before we discovered that his outbursts happened when our other dog moved. She could be across the house and if she stood up he would throw a fit until she lay back down.

Re: The Dog Thread
I gave up looking for a dog thread. Search works fine - now, but I couldn't find it a few months back.
Been wanting to share my puppy tales. She's now 10 months and absolutely 100% crazy - most lab owners would agree that they are a lot of work until about 2 years.
She can catch a football, albeit a "brady ball", and prefers it over round balls of all sizes.
So far I haven't been able to catch her on camera stopping it with her front paws before griping it in her mouth. She's starting to use her mouth first as she gets bigger, but still does it when I don't have my phone.
