No breathing person could be that clueless. It's less ridiculous to say Trump might be an excellent President than to say he's like "any other politician." No rational person in the world, and certainly not Trump himself would say that. There has never been a person elected to high office who has done or said the things Trump has, nor who has made the types of proposals he has, who has been as poorly informed on significant issues as he is, who is as poor as staying on a line of thought as he is, or who has lied so much on matters easily proven to be a lie. Maybe similar outliers are Rob Ford and Maine Gov LePage, but they're not national office. You might notice also that Trump gets scorn from both left and right.Mr.B wrote:"... Those voters (like Mr.B) did not see what millions of others felt instinctively and that explains the shocked reaction and immediate resistance to his election: "
To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
"Trump’s incessant bragging, his lack of empathy or remorse, his pathological lying© and even his bizarre appearance have been signs of an unstable personality."
I thought he sounded and looked like any other politician, Dem or GOP. Hillary was no better.
"It was obvious to many of us that something was not right...."
The only thing obvious to you libs (and if you ain't a lib, you're a liar) and really pissed you off was; He doesn't believe in killing babies, he doesn't believe pedophiles in dresses should be allowed in ladies restrooms, and he spoke his mind, rather than sugar-coat his words.

I don't think he understands "moderate". Or that not everybody who might be comfortable with the "lib" label thinks alike on all issues. He says he has no interest in politics, which is fine, but then he participates in the political topics. Besides, there are more than one measure of political position - there's the issue of what you think, and also the issue of how important it is to you. There's also a continuum on most issues. F'rinstance on his favorite abortion issue, a person could be (a) totally opposed to all abortion for any reason; (b) opposed to abortion except for rape/incest; (c)opposed to abortion after a certain point in gestation; (d) opposed to abortion personally, but unwilling to make it illegal for others; (e) in favor of abortion law as it exists, but doesn't care much about the issue; (f) in favor of abortion law as it exists, and is active in trying to protect it; (g) thinks current law is too restrictive and wants all non-medical restrictions repealed...etc. And that's just a summary of just one issue. People such as Mr.B want to have only anti-abortionists and everyone else is baby-killers.Vrede too wrote:Mr.B is so stupid that he actually thinks there are only 3 points on the political spectrum - lib, moderate and con. He really needs to find a middle school C-student to explain the basics of Civics to him, using small words. No wonder he's so utterly befuddled about abortion, transgenders, President* Trump's stance on both, pedophiles and President* Trump being one, and President* Trump's forthrightness.
I initially wrote, "Mr.B is so stupid that he actually thinks there are only 2 points on the political spectrum - lib and con," but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.O Really wrote:I don't think he understands "moderate"....

What the heck, I filled it out. Might give some minimum wage tabulator a laugh.

Vote in favor of a House investigation into Donald Trump’s financial conflicts of interest and ties to the Russian government.
No surprise that President* Trump's web team is too incompetent to keep you from doing that.Boatrocker wrote:I never vote more than once- even if that was possible- but I took the survey 3 separate times.
“It’s easier for the Canadians to speak to the Americans,” European Parliament President Antonio Tajani said during a joint press conference with Trudeau on Thursday in Strasbourg.
Indeed, explaining America has long been Canada’s role. The Europeans regard us, if they think about us at all, as the sane North Americans.
We may not be as interesting as Americans. But at least we can articulate the unfathomable enthusiasms that, from time to time, enslave them.
