President* Trump

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

banni says that he's exclusively using his personal Android. Are some of his tweets from "POTUS" or whatever, or are they all from his longstanding personal account?
I don't know all the technicalities, but it would seem when you're President*, it would be difficult to separate personal from official no matter the platform. If Trump tweets that he's having dinner with Jabba the Hutt, it sounds personal. But maybe it's really an interview for Mr. Hutt to be Chief Ethics Advisor, which would be official. If he criticizes the NYT, it is (obviously) personal, but he's also in a position to affect their business as President*, and does so. I think his "personal" Twitter use will eventually be a bigger issue and add to his misery. We can hope.
Yeah.... one of those anything you say can be used against you.....(hope)

If so, he's routinely violating applicable government records law every time he deletes a tweet, as billy.pilgrim suggests.

But is he actually deleting tweets or just editing them? I'm not sure that just editing them would have that much standing since you wouldn't expect to store every version of a word document while it's being made, only the finished product.

From what I've seen so far, they are edits, because the tweetID does not change even though the tweet text has changed.

I don't think you can edit tweets. Once you submit them, there's no going back.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Wow
"hearby (sic)" - He's right, we must fix our education system....
It took Donald Trump three tries to spell 'hereby' correctly on Twitter

Spelling is hard ...

In between his spelling corrections, Trump took a moment to tweet about the importance of fixing the American education system.
:D
... Trump deleted both typo-riddled tweets before his successful third try....
No mention of editing.

For anyone with interest and time on their hands...
Records are defined in various statutes, including the Federal Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act. The definition that follows is from the Federal Records Act that governs agencies' records management responsibilities.

Records include all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine-readable materials, or other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, made or received by an agency of the United States Government under Federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business and preserved or appropriate for preservation by that agency or its legitimate successor as evidence of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the Government or because of the informational value of the data in them (44 U.S.C. 3301).

Many of the key terms, phrases, and concepts in this statutory definition of records are defined in CFR Part 1222.12.

Hm... well that would still be consistent with what I see then, I just came to the wrong conclusion. If I'm only checking for new stuff every ~10 minutes it's likely I never get and store the tweet that's deleted.

I'd still think since twitter doesn't "allow" edits, then deletions would still be ok if it was a work in progress.... now if he starts deleting tweets that are 'finished', then I think it would be more of an issue. Who knows.... IANAL.

The spelling-challenged tweets in question were 'finished' enough to have been captured by others, including BRD, before President* Trump deleted them. Who knows.... IANAT.

I don't tweet, but I have read a number of times that he deletes the ones with spelling errors.

No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you.

I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!

So the good news is that Trump seems to be finally realizing that he's not campaigning against Hillary any more.

It has been refreshing to hear and read "President Obama" so many times today.

Security expert Malcolm Nance on the Trump team's Russia connections and Trump bug-claim tweets: "This is what happens when a target starts getting buggy, because he knows that he's caught."

His tear-down is worth watching:

If y'all want to invade and occupy us, the resistance won't be as strong as you'd expect. President* Trudeau!

Even con media in con locales is catching on. Typically, any MSM outlet would have a headline like: "Trump claims Obama had his phones wiretapped". My Hendersonville Times-News: "Trump claims Obama had his phones wiretapped; no proof ".

HENDERSON County went 62-34% for Trump.

That's true, we did, a proud, patriotic and necessary tradition since the Boston Tea Party. Funny that now the Putin-puppet looozers are the 62% regretting their YUUUGE mistake, isn't it?

Cheeto Idi Amin gets credit for acting "presidential" for a few minutes this week (just by reading coherently from a teleprompter, something the Olsen twins were doing at age 7.)

That's good enough for conservatives, er, "conservatives."

Yep ...

"a proud, patriotic and necessary tradition ..." a preview of future traditions when elections don't go as hoped ?
