Obama sticks to guns on tax increase for wealthiest American

At a campaign-style event at the White House Friday, President Barack Obama invited congressional leaders to the White House next week for talks on how to avoid spending cuts and at least some of the tax increases scheduled to occur in January. But he insisted that tax increases on the wealthiest Americans must be part of any deal.

I'm up; getting this coffee working. I saw a clip of that last night; he was talking about how everybody is for extension of the tax cuts for the under 250k crowd, so why not do that now? And the extension, or not, for the over 250k crowd can be hashed out later on. I bet the GOP thinks this is completely unreasonable, and they will hold us all hostage to the one percenters. But we'll see what we'll see.
