Americans for Limited Government

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I'm a proud government employee.
Don't worry, you're safe.
You're vested, right?

What are you worried about as a government employee?
It's the 'Pubs trying to take your job away from you, strip any benefits you might have and hand it over to a capitalist (I like capitalism, BTW, but not in this instance) and privatize every sector of the government they can.
I don't have an official title, but I consider myself a reservist militia-man, ready to jump to defend lady liberty when the talibans invade. This is why my government subsidy is justified, unlike those other freeloaders.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

I really don't think you have to worry.
Obama has already said he'll keep a strong military - including the Reservists. Their pay will not decrease nor will their benefits (If I am correct in determining your aforementioned capacity, neither will yours).

It's the big boys making money off the war machine that have to worry.

Here in reality the government shrank under Obama.

Unlike say, under the previous couple of Republican presidencies where it grew by leaps and bounds. The private sector grew more rapidly than it did during either of George W. Bush’s terms in office.

Thanks for bringing a bit of sanity into this conversation, rstrong, much appreciated.

Still, JTA, as a self-professed Reservist, has nothing to worry about.

I bet JTA is really nobody and Turdybus rolled into a compact dense opaque mass of ignorance, but I could be wrong.

As long as those freeloaders keep their grubby hands off my EBT.

You and the other seemingly random residents were probably in Rich's database as a left-wing supporter or possible left-wing donor, while your husband probably was not. The lie about not voting was no doubt a deliberate one to shame you in the eyes of your neighbors - as opposed to the barratry in their 2008 letters.

Hope this helps!
Yes, I feel much better now.
Let's see. The list includes a retired teacher (who spends her spare time doing church stuff), a retired mill worker, a preacher, a guy teaching in an upscale school in an Arab country, me, and two I don't know. Whatever the motive, it seems to be a huge waste of money.

Thanks, guys. It's good to be home. The image of Yosemite Thorn chasing a bear with a six-shooter is an excellent antidote for the post-vacation funk. Laughter is the best medicine, indeed.
