Ya know that's hilarious; if not pathetic. There are 8-9 active posters in this forum; with over half of them having me on "Ignore" and only occasionally responding to anything I post because I, as a con, troll their hateful views and posts.

The joke's on y'all, y'all ... When I post, I notate the number of views and go back and randomly check those numbers. WoW!
Turns out, there are 2-3 times the number of thread views as there are active posters! What does this mean?
Vrede has said a few times that this forum has no way to actively recruit new members; WRONG! The numbers prove that to be a hollow sentiment.

Of course we all know that there are spammers who read and join only to be eventually removed by our illustrious Administrator, but I'm willing to bet that the bulk of those numbers are former members or folks who know of this forum, but don't care to join because of the caustic nature and hateful badgering of it's head bullies.

I do it just to proofread my own posts until there's been a reply. Plus, we are constantly visited by bots, as is shown in the "Users browsing this forum" section at the bottom of the page and has been discussed many times here. What a moron!

There are hundreds of online forums where mindless right-wing yammer is not only appreciated but considered astute (if anybody knew what "astute" means) Where illogical memes are considered the height of editorial cartooning, and where the idea of Obama hiding in the Metro with a microwave spy gun is probable. Where "liberals" are always evil and consist of everyone left of Atilla the Hun. Where logic isn't necessary and may often even be ridiculed. Where the entire goal of posters is to show how clever they can be in re-posting somebody else's photoshop as an insult.

I'm glad most of our small group wouldn't fit in those places, and I enjoy the camaraderie we have. Not all clubs, organizations, forums, or even churches are one-size-fits all. Sometimes there are mis-fits.

Regardless of the online viewership, I just think it's nice to be able to spread out and post on those other forums if we choose to, but then we always have a place to fall back where free speech is appreciated.

While I'm sure that some old forum members still stalk here, most of those guest users are google indexers and the like. CPF for example -- there's no way they have 238 Guests and only 4 users online. Unlike CPF though, I block IP's of offenders so not to artificially inflate a useless number.

One of the things that other forums have going for it is a non-specific name. I.E. liberal political forum -- conservative political forum. That helps search results more than anything. We could certainly try to get a better domain name, but honestly, me personally, I don't care if it grows or not, I have no financial incentive in running a forum, in fact, it costs me every month. (Not much mind you.)

Of course I'm always open to idea's, including re-branding. Just not sure it'd make a bunch of difference, -- I mean again, look at CPF -- only 4 users are actually logged in and online.

Oh yeah, and of course, I have been working on features (mostly because hobby), but things like the Trump tweets to differentiate us from other forums.

I, as well as others have attempted many times to post here and be an actual part of the 'arguments' and debates, many times with verifiable and unverifiable sources. It's always the same.

The moment there's a disagreeing with an opinion, post, self-injected idea or whatever; the b.s. and name-calling starts, and when it does start, that person is branded and it doesn't let up.

I gave up on trying to post anything sensible, opting instead to fight back against the hate and name calling. When it was discovered I could bully back, tactics changed. When I did what I did, I had reason and y'all all know it, but y'all defended the bully, which in turn has me being the black sheep.

I have the capability of being a decent poster, some of you come across as pretty decent folk, but right now ....
I don't care, and y'all know why.
