whackadoodle alan west demands impounding voting machines
he spent like 20 zillions dollars more and he got his ass handed to him but like all good tea baggers he isn't letting facts get in his way and he is demanding that the voting machines impounded
hey tag - do y'all have to pass some sort of idiocy test to be a tea-bagger?

I wonder if our lib friends will admit this looks a little strange? If not it will be interesting to watch how they try to spin that all is OK.

I'm feeling somewhat ambivalent. Yes, West was about the kookiest nutjob around and made
the others look almost sane by comparison, but it's good he is gone. OTOH, he was one heck
of an entertaining wingnut. Just when you thought he couldn't sound any crazier, he did.

He'll be back. He's their nominee in 2016. They didn't learn a damn thing this time around.Bungalow Bill wrote:I'm feeling somewhat ambivalent. Yes, West was about the kookiest nutjob around and made

Allen West is a bit strange, and may not have been the best candidate, but something fishy is going on in Florida. I don't know why the other link isn't working, but here is the gist of it I don't know how widespread this was, or whether it may have thrown the election, but needs to be investigated.Vrede wrote:I'm prepared to, but Wneglia's link doesn't open and all I can find are accusations by West without evidence.Supsalemgr wrote:I wonder if our lib friends will admit this looks a little strange? Will you admit that voter suppression, especially in FL, and West himself are "a little strange"? We know both for certain.

Too bad he doesn't up his ambition and run for the Senate.
Saying West is a bit strange is like saying Chris Christie is a bit overweight.

It's not voter fraud. It's wingnuts getting their panties in a wad because they don't know what they're talking about.Wneglia wrote:Allen West is a bit strange, and may not have been the best candidate, but something fishy is going on in Florida. For some strange reason, all Florida counties release a Statement of Votes Cast where page 1 (and 2, if the county has enough precincts) lists impossibly high voter turnouts -- often over 150%.
All you have to do is scroll down to the next page. It gives the vote totals by race, and the figures add up to something rational -- like 71%
Here's St. Lucie county -- the county in question: http://www.slcelections.com/Pdf%20Docs/ ... REPORT.pdf
http://www.slcelections.com/Pdf%20Docs/ ... EPORT.pdf
The Election Summary Report shows a 71% turnout for the West/Murphy race.
Here's Alachua County SOVC -- 63 of 63 precincts showing a "voter turnout" of 146.7%. Scroll down to the second page, and you see the correct totals.
http://elections.alachua.fl.us/ew_pages ... ficial.pdf
Common sense would dictate that a county wouldn't simply publish (with no comment) a list where 92 of 94 precincts reported a voter turnout of well over 100% of the legitimate registered voters without comment.
Also noticed wingnuts complaining about something similar in Cayuhoga County.

Re: whackadoodle alan west demands impounding voting machine
West is an idiot who can't read election results and nobody seems willing to explain it to him. Doc's link will open - it's just a huge file and takes forever.
But the report does not show fraud. If anybody would take the time to actually read the election results document, s/he would understand that the number of votes is the cumulative number of votes cast for each category on the the ballot, i.e, the number of votes cast for President, the number of votes cast for Senator, State Senator etc. It's not rocket science.

It wasn't very smart of them to release a report with voter percentages of 154% in a precinct.Wneglia wrote:Thanks, guys. Makes sense now.
