Very impressive, but I've seen some pretty rough typhoons in Asian waters. I wonder how those panels will hold up. Especially now that typhoons and hurricane strengths have increased dramatically over the last decade. (not that global warming or climate change plays any part in it)

It's built several hundred km inland, on a lake.

Located in the city of Huainan in the Anhui province, the 40-megawatt facility was created by PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ironically, the floating grid itself was constructed over a flooded former coal-mining region.
