...A week later after Fargo is devastated, it heads for Winnipeg...
Rest of the world doesn't notice.

Weather channel this morning showed the European model with highest chance of being in the gulf before turning to the north.
But I'm would much rather that you be right....
FL is so skinny that a little directional change seems big. Now, WU's "5 Day Forecast" is saying Gulf first, Category 4, while its "Ensemble Models" average is still saying Atlantic side, eventually west of Hooterville. The European model seems to be consistently more accurate, not sure why we still have a US model.
Because sometimes they miss and NOAA gets it right
Keep on tracking east and maybe we all miss Irma
No gas cans, generators, water, any hurricane supplies left here
Was reading a thread on a camping subreddit and a poster made a good point. He was watching people buy tons of shitty food like Pop tarts and other processed stuff and generators to keep their fridges running. He mentioned how going backpacking has taught him some basics that are useful in situations where power will be out for extended periods of time and none of it is rocket science, just stuff the average person might not be aware of. And nothing wrong with that, really. It is what it is.
Dry rice/beans/qunoi/couscous doesn't need refridgeration. Spice it up or make meals in advance. Canned stuff works too - tuna, chicken, etc. Hell, freeze dried chicken is another.
Sawyer squeeze water filter for potable water, provided you're not grabbing it from water that's been contaminated with chemicals.
Little mini camping stove for cooking food and even making water potable.
Of course it's just easier to buy a bunch of bottled water or fill some jugs up yourself.
But I guess if you camp and backpack, you're already a tad bit more prepared than the average Joe in some cases.
Hell, I've got like four pounds left out of a ten pound bag of qunoia. It's qunoia for breakfast, lunch, and dinner fellas.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.
