It might be an age thing. Those of us that personally remember Vietnam and have heard rightwing lies about it for most of our lives have hypersensitive tactical radar.

Looks like I was right, not just about the misleading words but also about the forced correction by the 3rd ad.

Fwiw, I wasn't looking in order to brag. I was worried that I was wrong and that it was just clumsy wording in the first two ads. In reality, he was indeed a wuss 'risking life and limb' in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and his first 2 ads were despicable 'stolen valor'. It takes a "special" kind of pol to be such a pansy while bragging about how tough he is.

HOOVER, AL (WSFA) -

Dale Peterson, the man who made national headlines for an online political campaign in which he unsuccessfully sought the position of Alabama Agriculture Commissioner, was charged Tuesday with shoplifting.

It's the second time Peterson has faced such charges in the last 6 months.

Peterson was arrested Tuesday at the Sam's Club in Hoover, Alabama. That's just outside of Birmingham. Store security say they caught Peterson returning a can of cashews to a shelf after he ate from the package.

After Peterson left the store, security approached him and contacted the police.

Peterson was transported to the Hoover Jail where he was booked on a charge of theft of property in the third degree. He was held on a $1,000 bond, but made bail at 6:40 p.m.

Peterson was arrested in October 2012 at a Walmart, also in Hoover, after he is accused of stealing beer. He claimed the entire ordeal was a misunderstanding.

I'll bet he stole opponent yard signs, too.

While Trump's "no exceptions" policy for outgoing ambassadors is uncommon, the resignation and replacement of ambassadors at the end of an administration is routine.
