The meal call for an activist field kitchen I crossed paths with many times was blasting “You Shook Me All Night Long”. I still salivate when I hear it.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2017 1:13 pmHopefully his Dirty Deeds didn't get him sent on a Highway to Hell. RIP Malcolm!

Maybe not heroic, but pretty daring.
"Golly, he's a nice guy." - His preferred epitaph.

I thought he came out back in the 80s. If not, it wasn't a very well kept secret.Vrede too wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2017 6:52 pmbilly.pilgrim wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2017 6:25 pmJim Nabors died. The Goodwater boy did alright for himself.Maybe not heroic, but pretty daring.

The lyrics to this song get me every time.

The same legal team that got a court decision declaring Happy Birthday to be in the public domain, just did the same with We Shall Overcome. In truth the song has been in the public domain all along despite the false copyright claim.
As with Happy Birthday, the "publishers" still get to keep the profits from all the years of licensing a song they had no right to license.
The same "publishers" are trying to defend in court their false claim to Woody Guthrie's This Land Is Your Land.

Funky American Woodcock
Just like JTA!This male American woodcock has some glide in his stride and some dip in his hip. Here he is performing an early morning "sky dance" to woo the woodcock ladies in springtime ...

Re: The Music Thread
Not sure how I missed this Knopfler group, I love Old Time, Bluegrass, Blues, Rock, guitars of all types - it's all here. True that I quit listening to radio music in the late 70s and then there was disco, but I did hear, and love, Dire Straights.
Anyway, Knopfler started The Knotting Hillbillies in 86 with a guy he had played with before college.
they even got a pedal steel
