There was at least one good argument to be made for invading Iraq. Afghanistan had just shown that when a government - not some local blowhard, but the government itself - threatens to attack you, you need take it at face value. Especially when that government has a history of harboring terrorists, and funding and organizing terrorist attacks in other countries. That was also true of Iraq.
(Granted, it was also true of the US.)
I'm not saying that it was sufficient reason for the invasion, but it was certainly a good reason.
But I never heard this from Rove, Cheney and Bush II. It says a lot about them that they instead based the invasion on lies.

Re: President* Trump
A few days ago the Ku Klux Klown hosted military spouses at the White House.
US armed forces are 40% non-white. The odds that -- BY CHANCE -- a group of 52 military spouses would contain no people of color are lower than 100 trillion to 1.
BTW, if you're wondering about Trump's latest Twitter rant.... He misspelled his wife's name in a tweet.
https://twitter.com/oliverdarcy/status/ ... 02/photo/1
He deleted that, and the tantrum began.
Incidentally:
Benghazi: 4 year investigation, 0 indictments.
Clinton emails: 2 year investigation, 0 indictments.
Mueller investigation: 14 months, 23 indictments.

Good timeline comparisons of investigations that actually resulted in indictments.

Wow you guys! Trump cancels the summit with North Korea! I never would've guessed!
I'm sure you've all noticed the pattern with the Trump administration by now, the "Art of the deal" pattern of diplomacy and governance.
Make a claim you're gonna do something everyone doubted you on, like going for an interview with Mueller, or having a summit with North Korea. Something extreme. In the lead up, gradually reveal bits of information that'll give you plausible deniability when you inevitably back out, so you can play it off as no fault of your own. Back out while still saving face to your supporters. Winning!
The stuff the Trump administration does comes off as being incredibly staged. I feel like I'm watching a shitty B grade movie sometimes. Another example is Pence walking out of the NFL game when the players kneeled. Or the stack of blank papers sitting on the desk as proof Trump stepped down from his company.
America, you've got a definite addiction to fiction. Turn off that TV and learn the difference between reality and embellishment.

The other ummmm, "technique" he uses is to take away or screw up something the opponent already has, then offer to give it back in exchange for something new and bigger for him. If the other side gives in, then Trump has gotten something without giving up anything. If the other side does not give in, then Trump has the satisfaction (to him) that he's fucked them over.
Why isn't crap like that painfully obvious?

If you are in Pensacola, it's behind the Shell station on the west side of Davis just north of I-10. They have 5 or 6 grills behind the truck.
Get the grilled smoked shredded tongue taco.
Not only did being rated as the best taco in the us by yet another site (I forgot which one) make the lunch line ridiculous, but now there's no taco for anyone. After carefully arranging my schedule to be at the food truck after the lunch crowd, I pull up and the truck has burned to the ground. Nothing left but the huge smokers out back and part of the lean to dining area.

Listening to the national embarrassment try to navigate the international stage is akin to watching a twelve year old acting out trying to play President. #SAD

"Happy"?Donald J. Trump

Happy Memorial Day! Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!

I saw it (I think) on an NBC site. I did add the "back" to whatever I copied.

The 2 largest groups of dead US soldiers fought slaver/traitors and fascists.
In other words, they sacrificed to defend us from the Chickenhawk in Chief's "fine people".

But he did pick Jeff Sessions. That is on him.
So does Jeff Sessions.

Though he's doing it for the wrong reasons, about the only thing I like about the Dolt .45 presidency* is that he's trashing Evil Elf Sessions.Interesting! I think a lot of folks would say the same about his election.

One of them is a bumbling and incompetent airhead of a reality TV star with a very bizarre family.
The other one is named Kim.
