And it was clear from the get-go in their messaging, which tried—and, to a large extent succeeded—in portraying me as a tax-dodging, job-slaying rich doofus—or, as Grover Norquist put it, a “poopy head.”
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

I suppose there is one thing on which the Mittster didn't flip-flop ... his disdain for the poor, the elderly and those needing assistance as well as all of us working-class people.
In this instance, billy, I don't mind being called a "poopey-head."

We had twenty Republican debates, that was absolutely nuts; it opened us up to gaffes and to material that could be used against us in the general, and we were fighting these debates for a year, and the incumbent President just sat back and laughed.*
