Local delegates introducing bill to donate state funds to border wall

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

We already have a wall thread, but I think I want to follow this one separately to see what happens.

West Virginia
Delegates Carl “Robbie” Martin (R-Upshur); Patrick Martin (R-Lewis); and Caleb Hanna (R-Webster) will introduce the bill to divert $10 million from the state's surplus to go toward the wall.
West Virginia has surplus funds?

Maybe they can make a giant wall of coal so high that anyone trying to climb it would be so black they'd never be welcome anywhere. It's a strange and terrible scenario, but it is West Virginia. I would keep my fingers crossed, but my hands are in my pockets.

Easy to do when you don't pay for education. -0-?

Yes, I think so....after reading it again I realize I owe everyone an apology......the idea of someone ascending a giant wall of coal and getting black in the process seemed funny to me at the time. It is an opps moment.

I don't care what color they started off, I worked in a coal mine and I don't want anyone covered in coal dust in my home. It's not racist, it's coalist or dustophobic.

My maternal grandmother had a coal fired heating system in her basement; there was a metal chute that the coal truck could pull up next to and dump coal into the basement. I still remember how it smelled and how easy it was to get black if you mess with coal, which I was inclined to do as a kid. However, I don't recall having any preference between anthracite or bituminous coal and actually could not tell the difference. Let us now honor famous people named for coal.......Christopher Coal Umbus, Nat King Coal, Coal Porter, Coal Younger, and Coal Slaw.
